Love this small family owned deli and market. Grilled cheese sandwiches are fantastic!! The soups were perfectly prepared.We were in town for a family reunion, and will be here again f9r our next one.

I was donating blood next door...give blood!...and was ready for lunch half way through. I'm new to the area and up for almost anything, I found their neighbor here on maps ... By the menu, half conscious I expected snooty, I dress like a chic homeless person when you look closely at me, I'm also a large man ... I expected some prentiousness but received none that I could perceive. They appear to have a new owner, the name is now "Gilly's market" but the menu here is correct. I had the turkey burger and a craft root beer. The root beer had a low sugar content I think comes from the use of glucose syrup rather than the typical fructose-glycose cocktail in 90% of soda...just as sweet, far less of a negative. I eat ground turkey at home from time to time, it's a cost effective, tasty alternative to ground sirloin...my gripe was the portion size, the burger was fine but the side pasta was served in an espresso cup, a shot glass...I could be wrong, I haven't had it in many, many years, not since I was under my mother's and grandmother's roof, but I think the turkey was seasoned with man'which...eh, good for $11, if this is your thing too

Happened upon this wonderful family owned business. Fabulous grilled cheese sandwiches, perfectly flavored soups, and some fun sweets. Appreciated the owners taking care of our large family group at a moments notice for a late lunch. Next time we are in Bay City, we are definitely stopping at 3rd & Johnson.

I’ve been coming to this place for years, and have become so fond of their food! It is clean, healthy, and good for the soul. I absolutely love their cherry chicken salad which can be found in the refrigerator case. Also I am addicted to the sweet potato and bean burger!!!!! This place is the best!

Not sure how we have missed this place, had lunch today, veggie bacon quiche, ham and cheese sourdough sandwich, soup and banana cream pie, quite amazing! Great fresh quality food, we will be back.

Excellent vegan burger/sandwich. Sounds healthy, and it might be, but it tastes sooo good. Local buisness, sells local produce and has premade foods available.

I stopped here on a whim because I had often driven by but never stopped. I'm glad I did. I had the clam chowder soup, it wasn't to thick which I love. I also got the spinach and turkey wrap. The pesto I didn't like so I didn't use it on my wrap but the little bow tie salad was wonderful. I will be back for the lasagna. Which they have meat and meatless versions of. Will be back soon.
Chicken salad is the best around and the take and bakes help with those quick needed easy meals in the evening. Visit on a Saturday for delicious quiche and bacon! Hidden gem that is worth a visit!

I'm not much for "out of a can" restaurant food... which is exactly why I always enjoy the menu options at your market! It's fresh, tasty, and satisfying. Really love your Egg and Sausage Biscuit... and your Sweet Potato Burger... and your smoked salmon... and your Peanut Butter Cookies... and... ok, I'll stop. Thanks for being such a unique option in Bay City! Don't ever go away!!!

What a beautiful store! Half grocery, half artisan market, this place is a joy to visit. There are always freshly made salads, baked goods, soups and so many more lovely things to try each time we visit. Everyone should check it out!

YUM!!! I had a couple of not so tasty vegetarian sandwiches in bay city so I was nervous to get a veggie burger from here ?. I’m SO glad I did!! It was absolutely delicious!!!In fact - everything I tried was wonderful (got some things for my daughter and tasted them all!?)
