Coonan’s is always great for a nice dinner and a beer at a Bay City backyard bar. Kim and his staff certainly know how to make you feel at home and make sure you’re taken care of. They have a very diverse menu, Irish food, a variety of hotdogs, great soups, and nice outdoor seating that is pet friendly.

Ive been coming here for years , used to come here every Monday for trivia night , ive had a lot of good times here and made some memories, love the food and atmosphere here : the owner is a good guy and always makes it a point to stop in and chat with me for a second or two, stuff like that goes a long way

I just tried Coonan’s for the first time and now I know what all the fuss is about! It’s my birthday and I was craving fish. My wife went to pick up a cod dinner for me and it sure didn’t disappoint. I can’t wait to try other menu items.

Third time in a row with horrid service. First two times I didn’t get my app. But today was the last straw. Never in my life have I been served a martini in a glass used for on the rocks. And my martini was served on the rocks!? And then when I do say something the waiter offers to bring a new one without ice. One would think with that wording it would be comped on the house (also a remind when I did get the replacement it was filled half an inch from the rim) but no the second subpar martini was also on the bill. I will quite literally never be back again. There are much better locally owned restaurants in bay city that know to make a drink right the first time and most definitely the second.

Parking: Biggest, bestest, baddest, and tastiest burgers you'll ever get!!! Homemade potato chips are fantastic!!!!! Ambiance can't get beaten, neither!!!!!

Waited for our food, way way too long (1.5 hrs) cold cheese on Italian steak sandwich, friends got ranch with their fish instead of tarter sauce, they forgot the garlic bread as well. Other tables came and went. Won't be going there again.
