I am from an area where all the Ponderosa's have gone out of business. So it was surprising to see one open on the way back from the upper peninsula to Ohio. This place gave a sense of childhood nostalgia, an easy acess from the highway, and a healthy lunch option served quickly. The food was average buffet style foods with a good variety (including fried catfish, chicken wings, meatloaf, and ham). I got the Ribeye (medium cooked) and it was tender and seasoned well and enjoyed...

The salad and food bars were very well stocked, several different meats and veggies to choose from. The steak bites I got were cooked perfectly and my daughter got the serloin and said it was very good. Definitely recommend.

It was nice finding a ponderosa that was still open. Remind me of when I used to go all the time when they had them in flint.
The steak was a $30 steak and it was super super thin. So now I know why my father never bought the steaks always made us eat buffet.
