We walked in and picked a booth in the next room by the fireplace, and as soon as the booth by the window opened up, we grabbed it! Loved the deer heads and the old pictures, very cool. Our waitress was really nice. I ordered the bangers and hash, and my husband ordered the cod special. They were both delicious. I know, because I took a bite of his cod!!

We went twice for lunch and once for dinner. Would be a decent 3 1/2to 4 stars, except for the service. We had 3 servers in total: one was very good and the other 2 were quite bad. I don't think it had much to do with how busy they were. It seemed that 2/3rd of our servers simply didn't know that customers might want another beer or any other odds and ends. And because they never glanced our way the servers were very difficult to flag down. I was glad that we could pay our tab by phone to save 15 minutes of waiting at the end. Nice patio and decent food. Just too much waiting for no good reason.

Old school pub with well above averahe bar food. Got the mushroom swiss burger and asked for it medium rare. The burger came to the table medium rare!

The staff is great and friendly. They are clearly understaffed and not supported though. The steak was cooked perfectly but was very tough. Salads were very skimpy and almost entirely greens. Service took over an hour yet our waiter was running back and forth doing his best. Management needs to take a look at their strategy.

The waiter was pleasant but 4 times told us our food was almost ready. Tables that came in after us were served before us. Hamburger ordered med well was med rare. The squash ravioli is over priced and did not come with any sides. A salad ordered came 15 min after the meal and should have need a side. I told the manager we were disappointed. He said “Tell me more” and when I did he was not responsive.

We ate dinner here twice. Each time, the bill was way more than we expected. The first time we ordered the fiesta bowl (tasty) with a side of sweet potato fries. We thought the fries came with the dinner, since that's the way it was presented on the menu and by the waitress. But no. The sweet potato fries side dish was $10 and not very generous... You'd think we would have learned, but we went back. Not a lot of options on the island. This time we ordered a $26 squash-stuffed ravioli. Delicious, but we got only five (!) raviolis and no side dish (no salad, soup, etc., again despite what the menu appears to offer). We'll never go back. Same person seems to own other restaurants near the harbor. Beware. Side note: We had wonderful wait staff each time. Thank you to them!

I’ve never left a review on anything, but this is an exception. Sometimes, the food can make up for the service, and the service can make up for the food. Both did not do so. Who doesn’t like an 8-dollar side salad that can be eaten in four bites and 6 Romain lettuce leaves for 13 dollars? Go somewhere else, and you can get 100% better food for a lower price. The receipt doesn’t look that bad until you look at the food.
