The fried green beans were excellent, the clam chowder was surprisingly enjoyable, and the side salad was fresh and satisfying. Unfortunately, the fish Reuben was a complete misstep. The sandwich featured blackened whitefish served with the skin still on, which was both unexpected and unappealing. The portion of fish was thin to the point of being nearly undetectable, its flavor completely lost beneath an overwhelming layer of coleslaw. At times, it was difficult even to tell that fish was present in the sandwich at all. In contrast, the fish and chips were well-prepared and delicious, highlighting how the Reuben could be so much better if made with a crisp piece of fried fish instead. I would gladly return for other dishes, but I would avoid the fish Reuben entirely.

Great food, great people. Whether you are dropping in after the ferry, stopping in while getting groceries, or just dining with friends, this is always a comfortable, warm place.

I'm not sure why this gets such high marks, but there isn't much to choose from, in resturants. I order the caeser salad. It came on a very hot plate that made the dressing change color and the romain to wilt. Croutons were very stale. My husbands sandwich was good. He had to find our waiter and bring the cups to him to get a refill. $20 caesar salad with no meat that I couldn't eat, very disappointed. I usually order a caesar salad when on vaction and I don't know the area, because you can't mess up a caesar salad. I now stand corrected. Save your money and go to the Wild Strawberry Cafe. The food there was very good

I have been coming here for at least 30 years. It might not look like much but the food is excellent. The wait staff is super friendly as well. I love it.

We walked in and picked a booth in the next room by the fireplace, and as soon as the booth by the window opened up, we grabbed it! Loved the deer heads and the old pictures, very cool. Our waitress was really nice. I ordered the bangers and hash, and my husband ordered the cod special. They were both delicious. I know, because I took a bite of his cod!!

We went twice for lunch and once for dinner. Would be a decent 3 1/2to 4 stars, except for the service. We had 3 servers in total: one was very good and the other 2 were quite bad. I don't think it had much to do with how busy they were. It seemed that 2/3rd of our servers simply didn't know that customers might want another beer or any other odds and ends. And because they never glanced our way the servers were very difficult to flag down. I was glad that we could pay our tab by phone to save 15 minutes of waiting at the end. Nice patio and decent food. Just too much waiting for no good reason.

$16 for the worst chicken sandwich I have ever had. Plus an extra $6 for a side of burnt sweet potato fries

The staff is great and friendly. They are clearly understaffed and not supported though. The steak was cooked perfectly but was very tough. Salads were very skimpy and almost entirely greens. Service took over an hour yet our waiter was running back and forth doing his best. Management needs to take a look at their strategy.
