Always a great time. Visited twice in span of five days. Psychedelic Cat is our fav and we loved the falling out pizza!! We will be back no doubt!

Good beer. Good food. A touch pricey for the area it's in. Ambience is like most breweries. Merchant is extremely over--priced. Definitely tailored towards out of towners.

I've been to Short's several times, but there was always a decent wait to get seated. Most of the time, we tucked our tails and went to another place in Bellaire or just got our food to go. Every time, we at least got a beer in the bar area adjoining the restaurant. The wait is real, but last night we waited it out and it was most definitely worth it. If a restaurant (and brew pub!) is that busy everytime you go then you know they're doing a lot of things right. The beer is arguably the best in a crowded scene of fantastic Michigan-based craft breweries. Endless selection of regular and seasonal beers and ciders... but the food is just as good. We got the Falling Out pizza and it might just be one of the best - if not the best - pizza I've ever had. Insanely tasty with pulled pork, bacon mixed in with BBQ sauce, jalapenos and maple sriracha. It has pineapple too. Don't let that bother you. The mix of heat, meat and sweet with the beer infused pizza crust will have me coming back for more the next time we bolt up to Schuss.

They have some great gluten free ciders, and the staff is super friendly! It's an all around great atmosphere.

Very nice brewery, was vey busy when I was there but still managed to give great service. The sandwiches are unique, which I like along with the normal favorites.

Food: 5 starsBeer: 4 starsService: 4 starsAmbiance: 4 starsValue: 5 starsShort's has good beer and GREAT food. I came with my family on a gorgeous summer weekend evening, and only had to wait 5 minutes for a table. This time around, we opted for sandwiches, but the pizza is also fantastic. I had the where'd the cheese go with bacon, my husband had the tastes good on the bun, and my dad had the Gabrielle. We all loved our food, and they were able to accommodate my mother's dietary restrictions easily with a special order sandwich. The portion sizes are large and filling, and the value is definitely there. Highly recommend coming in a grabbing some food, even if you're not a big drinker.

Great atmosphere for a pit stop or longer. Wonderful beer, food, music and dog friendly.

Great time at Short's - first time visiting and hopefully not the last! A group of us were in for a bachelor party and we're easily accommodated. Great beer (obviously) and food - cool outdoor music area also. Stop on in if you're in the area.

Stopped by on a recent visit to town and it was a fun stop! I think just the sheer number of people prevented me from giving it a 5-star as we just felt rushed at all times. We had a pup and tried the beer garden first, but this was standing room only and people kept bumping into us as it was so incredibly packed with people. Clearly a fun spot, but we could barely even hear each other when the band was playing. We moved across the street and after a short break, a spot at the end of a patio table opened up and we hopped in. We had to bus the table, but it was pleasant enough. The beers were fine - nothing we particularly loved - and felt the same about the food. Clearly a wildly popular spot - and dog-friendly (a real plus!!) - though it was overly packed and took a long time to get anything.

In the area June 11-16, shorts was perfect as usual, we enjoy coming in 2'or 3 times for the flights , then buying what we really enjoy. Many different beer like the beer with Roma tomatoes/dill/horseradish and the spruce flavored beer. (Nice to sample)Only issue is we bought a growler and the bar tender did not rinse it out, this is something that usually done. We did not think at the time to say something( will next time)Food is always very good

If the food is anything like the beer (and you know it is), then you can expect nothing short of amazing. This was my second visit on a girls trip to Traverse City. Short's is about 40 min outside of Traverse City which makes it a must see destination when visiting the Cherry Capital. It's usually packed, so put your name on the list, and go across the street to Bee Well, a really cool and laid back meadery serving mead and hard cider. I ordered a grilled cheese from Short's. At first, I felt basic ordering a grilled cheese, but there was nothing basic about this sandwich. White Cheddar, Provolone, Swiss, tomato, avocado, roasted garlic chipotle mayo on grilled wheat. The cheese oozed out during grilling which resulted in crispy goodness. You get to pick a side and the daily choice was a giardiniera pasta salad which was creamy with a kick. This was so amazing! If you get the chance to stop in, it's worth the wait. You can also shop the store, get some merch, and walk around the cute little town. There are a few shops within a block walking distance from Short's. Visit the website for more reviews! thebite2night.com

Easy to order + Easy to pick upWe had a group of six, with multiple menu items ordered and all of our food was made to order, which was appreciated!I would easily order that pizza (flutes of chi, without balsamic) again and again and again!!!

I was staying nearby with family and we wanted takeout after spending a day out on Torch Lake. Short's, with their delicious beers and accessible menu was the winner of our search. There were 7 of us so our order was fairly large but they managed it with aplomb. Nachos, pizzas, pretzels, salads, sandwiches....our order had it all and all was delicious. I personally had the "I don't want to leave you on the farm" salad which was pretty much their version of a cobb and it was delicious. My husband and I also split an order of the soft pretzels. One of our party is allergic to peanuts so we had to pass on the Soft Parade jam and peanut butter swirl (much to my sadness, it sounded so good!) but the Huma Lupalicious cheese spread was very satisfying. We decided not to overwhelm the staff when placing our order and include beer requests so we popped into the shop when we went to pick up our food and picked up several cans and bottles of tasty brews for each person to enjoy on a dockside sunset. Highly recommend doing the same!
