“I don't like eating in my car but I LOVE eating at the drive-up A&W in Berkley. Most of the time I park and order/eat at the small tables on the west side of the building. Typically I get the Papa Burger and a foot long hot dog. I ALWAYS get a mug of root beer. There is nothing quite like a tall, ice-cold mug of A&W root beer straight out of the tap. I think it is the cane sugar which tastes like my childhood. It never disappoints and always delivers on good feelings. If you see a guy munching on a burger in one hand and frosty mug of root beer in the other next to a motorcycle parked out front - that's me!“

“Who doesn't love themselves a Blizzard or a dilly bar in the summer? If you answered "no one under 99 in Berkley," you would be right, and you will learn this fact if you dare to approach the drive thru on any day of the week between April and October. DQ serves up the typical soft-serve ice cream, thick blended shakes, and ice cream with more cookies in it than the cookie aisle at Meijer. You'll find this outpost well-staffed by happy teenagers harried somewhat by the pace and popularity of their franchise. I've heard it not-jokingly said DQ is the most profitable business in the city, and that may be borne out seeing what it was valued at on Zillow. That said, spare yourself the agony and order ahead or go in person after walking up from one of the municipal lots on 12 Mile. The traffic backups on weekends or Friday night going eastbound on 12 Mile are *horrific*, and there's always one entitled yahoo who blocks both lanes of traffic trying to get through. Going into the shop is mildly more controlled. Traffic being snarled and teenagers on bikes completely oblivious to the risk, or bad drivers shoving their ways in, just make for a definite headache. That said, you'll get your order usually correct and made with skill and enthusiasm by the hard-working staff. They manage ENORMOUS volumes with a lot of dignity, probably collapsing into the freezer in exhaustion when the last swirl cone leaves at the end of the day.Sadly this is NOT a brazier and it's not open during low-volume winter months.“

“Just tried this place for the 1st time ever! I tried the new location in downriver! Pro: fresh hamburger that I have had in a long time Friendly service Quick to help and take my order Con: They had no other beverages choice but water , fingers crossed they plan to have other options in the future if you are apple pay user like me I think it nice of them to suggest the gas station next door but weirdly gas station does not accept apple pay So I had nothing to drink 🙁 Overall I would rate them a 9/ 10“

“12 burger joints in one day. We ranked them all and Comet was at the top overall. I was just taking bites at the last 3 but we did it. 140 miles. Was it a ton of fun? Yes! Will we remember this forever? Yep! Would I do 12 in 1 day again? No flipping way 🤣“

“I stop by Hunter house anytime I am in the area. They have the best burgers, onion rings fries you can look over the menu inside and not one thing in there I would not recommend trying. That is my go to spot when I want a top of the line fresh burger yes can be busy, But it’s definitely worth the wait. I have never gotten my order wrong or the wrong order for that matter. The staff is good. They are friendly, funny great sense of humor. I’ve been going there for years and I’ll still keep going. It’s a great place. If you want something from outside of the ordinary, it’s grilled and deep fried right there. You can either call ahead and have your order done or you can walk right in you can dine in or you can order a carryout right from the inside. It’s a local treasure for Birmingham, Royal Oak, Southfield, and Clawson, Michigan“

“Date night! We decided to give Bagger Dave's a try and we were not disappointed. Our waitress was phenomenal and seamlessly moved from table to table without missing a beat.
We tried the Trainwreck burger. Perfectly seasoned and cooked. The hand cut fries were delicious.
A definite return spot.“
