I've already emailed. You would think shortly after opening on a Saturday, you would get fresh Scones?! If there is anything time of the week you would expect warm fresh Scones it would be a Saturday right? Scones are disgusting, cold, old, and bland. Paid $15 dollars for 4! The savory was half the size of the others. I seriously can't believe how it is possible to keep selling this product. I can't speak for the other foods, but this is the last time I purchase from them.Edit: the owner has reached out and is going to replace our scones and provide us with some more of their products. I appreciate when a business tries to make it up to their customers. I will edit this review after we try their other foods.

I had bought this brand at ninos and was excited to try "Detroits voted best scones". I was VERY disappointed by the bland taste and dry texture of these scones and I love scones in general. I was not impressed at all! And to pay $10 for 6 of them was a waste.**Update..After day 2 of having the cookies there was active mold growing on them.

I grew up in royal oak not far from Elkins bakery. They make the best scones I've ever had (they are the best directly from the bakery). My mom has been helping me after a recent surgery and she just brought me a bag of scones from here this morning and it put a big smile on my face. It's the taste of my childhood!

These are the best scones you will eat many varieties to choose from . Friendly hometown goodness and kind people behind the counter. This is a winner of a small business with delicious scones and other home yes home made foods. Try it you’ll love it .???Elwin’s SconesCoolidge, Berkley

This was my first visit to Elwin and I am very impressed. The scones are amazing and the staff was very friendly. I couldn’t be happier with them.

I stopped by to pick up my usual weekly dozen scones and got some food too - the meatloaf was light & delicious - the mac&cheese was almost better than mine - flavorful with lots of cheese and a perfect crunchy top!! Highly recommend

Love, love, love Elwin's scones. Their moisture, texture and flavor are excellent. They offer a wide variety of scones -- lemon poppyseed, blueberry, cranberry etc. so I'm able to try different flavors every times I shop there. Their gift baskets are a great way to thank someone and I also buy them when I'm hosting breakfast or brunch. Elwin and Natasha are always super nice and helpful.

Awful scones (apricot and almond) and misleading. I bought them for a whopping 9.99 at the overprice nino salvaggios and it said “voted Detroit's best” in what?!?!! These scones are awful. Just waisted $10. Worst $10 I’ve spent. This company should rethink their recipe or entire business if they are willing to sell this garbage.

Only leaving this review for visibility. The outside of this location says 'bakery' which is a false positive. Sure they bake stuff but they do not have bread, buns, or any normally stocked baked goods. They only sell a handful of scones from their bake rack. Everything is sold frozen or you have to order what you want via standard email.I'm sure all the frozen/prepared food is great but I don't understand the point of having a store front. Especially if you're branding yourself as the 'homegrown in Berkley' neighborhood bakery.

I grabbed a banana choc. chip bread. Something I eat very rarely, though when I do its because I wasn't some chocolate and banana. The best combination. I wasted $8. I had 1.5 inch slice and it probably had 5 mini choc chips. Sooooo disappointed. never again.

My Son picked these scones from a supermarket to enjoy with the family; however, we found out that they are not scones nor cookies. The texture is spongy and dry. The first response was, how can they be in business selling this stuff. These are dated 6/10/23, which doesn’t tell me anything about how long they been sitting on the shelf.
