O'Mara's has been a Thanksgiving tradition for several years for my family. The food and service is outstanding. The meals this year included 2 turkey dinners with all the trimmings and shrimp scampi. The rice was cold and tastless, which is why the food was rated a 4 instead of a 5. Our waiter was wonderful.

Good afternoon, my wife and I were there this past Friday Nov.29th. I ordered the 14oz prime rib with augartin potatoes, oh my word the prime ribs & potatoes were absolutely DELICIOUS. My prime rib was seasoned perfectly, tender & juicy. I highly recommend this meal.

The statements on the menu speak for themselves about this establishment. We came in on a slow night and sat there for 20 minutes without being served, we were the only ones there. We eventually walked out to a restaurant down the road where we felt more welcomed.

Always wanted to try this place as it’s in our neighborhood and came in with a few girlfriends. The restaurant was completely empty except one other table. We sat there for 10 mins, waters delivered. After 20 mins, we finally left after being ignored. Not sure if they want to remain in business, but they just lost potential patrons.

Also not sure what’s up with this menu tagline?

Just a weird experience overall.

Went last week Atmosphere is a mix between Irish pub and a chem/botanical vibe. The lady who served us was nice. The menu is a bit small and all about healthy eating. The food was just okay, a bit of a let down with the cost of. Overall is was an okay meal.

Came here at 7:15pm on a Friday with a friend. We had dinner ticket reservations to see Blackthorn and experience the nutritious home cooked Irish food. The outside is beautiful with a castle-like look and calming Celtic stone fountians by the main entrance where you can take some nice photos. The waitresses were tentative on point, and very professional with their tableside care. They made sure we were always set with something. Stacy was our main waitress who was wonderful the entire time - she had that intuitive knack for knowing what you needed next before even asking :) Even the owner personally greeted us and made sure we had a comfortable table as he told us about the place and it's food. This was a very welcoming experience where you were cared for - like family. The food here is organic and locally sourced. This means it isn't loaded with hormones, antibiotics, preservatives, processed & frozen, or genetically modified, etc. It's natural, and it's healthy for you (unlike restaurant chains and typical bar food). I had the O'Maras Chicken dinner and it definitely delivered a natural tender meat experience with sauteed artichokes and capers in a light lemon sauce served with broasted potatoes, green beans, and an amazingly soft puff pastry dinner roll. The portion was just right. My friend had a well plated corned beef Reuben sandwich dinner with cole slaw, broasted potatoes, and pickle spear! The sandwhich was large - like 2 in 1 and extremely fresh and savory as i tried a corner of it. I'm coming back again for dinner & drinks aside from the entertainment! Because clearly, there's old fashioned dedication and love in their teamwork of service, and food preparation that you seldom find in this modern world.🍀

I’m gonna start off by saying my visit was probably a fluke, because I’m seeing this place averages at 4.2 stars.

My gf and I were there last night on vacation. We go in, and the host doesn’t take us to a table, but wants us to pick. I don’t hate that, but it took us off guard considering we are from out of town.

We pick our table and no one comes to see us for about 10-15 minutes. Keep in mind, there were maybe 3 other tables in this restaurant; clearly a slow night.

Our server finally comes to us and I try to order two soups, turns out they both are out. It is what it is. At this point I’m frustrated because the free bread they gave us was stale, the complimentary salad’s were flavorless, the service was bad, and they didn’t have the two soups I wanted. But, I decided to wait it out for our dinner. I get the Detroit sliders. They were okay, but the issue is the meat should’ve been cooked medium rare, or the option should’ve been asked. Additionally the fries weren’t all the way cooked. My gf’s fried fish wasn’t breaded properly, the fish was sub par, and even more of her fries were under cooked.

$44 is way too much for the quality of food we got. The whole experience was exceptionally bad. Also, what even is the atmosphere of this place? It looks Italian, but says it’s Irish food, and the inside looked like it was a former Chinese restaurant.

Great server. Beautiful restaurant. But the bland est food ever. Being healthy doesn't mean skip the herbs. Great place for those with dietary restrictions. No salt or pepper used here.

This is not the O'Mara's we have loved for so long. The service was great, but the food was disappointing. The shepherd's pie is not close to the great dish it used to be. The roast beef looked to be pre-purchased thin sliced cheap meat not a nice chunky, tender beef I had hoped for.

Felt like we had walked in off hours as the dark unwelcoming dining area was deserted. This place should invest some serious $ in making the dining area feel less like an abandoned banquet hall and more like a restaurant. The lake perch that I had for lunch was a very small portion for the cost. Our server was very warm and welcoming though.

Aside from being a lovely restaurant with healthy, farm to table food, O’Maras gives back to the community as well. They let us host a car wash for Berkley Cheer and we raised almost $1000! Thank you O’Maras for your kindness and partnership!
