Stayed here two nights in mid-June while in town for work. The fried perch plate is great—get it with the Duchess potatoes. There are lots of beers on tap to choose from and the staff are friendly. My room was nice, cool, and quiet. Short walk to the beach and conveniently located to the area shops. They even let me order dessert late one night as they were closing the kitchen. I was just a tiny bit disappointed in the $10 cobbler that is advertised as fruit with biscuits while I received fruit with oats, but I’m grateful they fixed me something late.

Food & drinks: We came to the restaurant for dinner our last night in town. It is Friday, so understandably, it was busy. We are a large party so we knew our service would take longer than typical. When we were sat down to our seats it took almost 20 minutes for someone to recognize we were sat. Once our drinks were ordered and served our dinner/app and salad order was taken. We didn’t receive a single appetizer or salad for 45 minutes. I had to ask our server to bring them out before our dinner. We then waited another 30 minutes for our food. Over an hour and 15 minutes from when the order was taken to get our dinners. As I am writing this review, every one at my table has their food, except myself. I worked in the food service industry for 25 years and over never experienced worse service and food times than this place. This restaurant is an embarrassment. I would recommend that you do not come here ever.

Took the family for dinner as they were having a Polar Plunge fundraiser for Special Olympics. Everyone enjoyed their dinner and drinks. Service was outstanding! Being local, we highly recommend this place for some good food and friendly atmosphere.

We found Cold Creek Inn as a last minute booking while we were driving around Lake Michigan looking at fall colors. While the room was smaller that we were expecting (it's about 100 sq ft total), it was clean and comfortable. The bed was firm and very comfortable. My husband said he'd be willing to buy the mattress because it was the best night sleep that he had in a long time! I know it was a Serta Perfect Sleeper but I don't know what the level of firmness was. (Please tell me if you know!) The bathroom was spotless and I could still smell a hint of bleach. This is better than 90% of the hotels we stay in. We didn't hear any noise from the bar/restaurant below. I don't know if it was because of good insulation between the floors or we were just that tired. We wished we had not ate before we arrived because the food in the bar/restaurant looked and smelled delicious. Thanks for a comfortable last minute stay!!
