“I'd been wanting to check out Five Shores for awhile, and since we were going to be passing through the area, I suggested to my wife that we stop and check it out.It was a Monday in late November, and they had only been open for maybe 15-20 minutes, but there was already a small handful of people, so that was a good sign (I imagine they get very busy in the Summer).We ordered the Chili Cheese Pretzel Nugs to share (delicious), and a beer flight to sample. We enjoyed everything we tried, but because I still had some driving to do, we decided on some beers to go (my wife really enjoyed the brown ale, and I made sure to grab a couple of Harvest Machine hazy IPAs).I don't remember the names of the guys behind the counter, but they were warm and friendly, and answered any questions I had and made suggestions as well.We will definitely be back!NOTE:It was nice to see that they have games in house, so don't be afraid to bring the kids.”

“I think my parents might like Patrick, a server and bartender, more than they like me. Seriously though, a great year round restaurant for this area. Never have even had a meal there that I went, "That was just OK." I always leave thinking, "That was great."”

“Wonderful food when we went there one time... tried 4 or 5 other times to go back and they are closed. They do not update their website with current hours or closings and they do not have an outgoing vm message to advise either. We drove there for nothing sooo many times. Won't be trying again. Wasted too much time and gas only to find it closed.”

“Stephanie was a pleasure to work with, as I assisted my son and daughter-in-law with their wedding cake selection. I was referred to Stephanie by another bakery from Northern Michigan who highly recommended Stephanie. We live 3 hours south in the southeastern area of Michigan, so initially it was a challenge finding a reputable baker. I must say, in addition to being delicious, Stephanie's artistry in baking was gorgeous, we received many compliments on the wedding cake and cupcakes from our guests (including our catering staff!). Right from my first call to Stephanie, she was most kind and gracious in answering all my questions and very professional. During each of our phone calls, text messages or emails, I was always created with kindness and professionalism. Her knowledge and expertise were invaluable to me! Stephanie encouraged my daughter-in-law to share her inspiration pictures. From the pictures she shared Stephanie created 100% of the cake and cupcakes designs with the jewel tone colors my daughter-in-law selected for their wedding. I ordered plenty of cupcakes to accompany the wedding cake, I only wished I had ordered more desserts for their wedding as Stephanie has so many options to offer to create an over-the-top dessert table for our guests. If I ever host an event in Northern Michigan I would whole-heartedly hire Stephanie again.”

“Mary's Asian cuisine was delicious! The food was hot and so yummy. Mary is a wonderful lady and she was so nice. She has the cutest little food truck. It is so worth stopping at and getting your Asian cuisine fix please please please stop here and eat you will not regret it!!! I cannot wait to return next summer and every summer!”

“One of my wife's favourite breakfast spots. We take lots of friends here. Staff relations is a bit of a mixed bag, and from the reviews here I see that to be a trend, as a business owner I do hope they try to work on that, but I love the spot and always like my meal. The pancakes are served as a side with most breakfasts and I recommend you get those over the toast. You will be happy you did. Great view of the lake if you are at the front table or outside. I recommend you stop by and give them a try!”

“Great selection of choices, but ours seemed a bit dry. Plenty of options and the ingredients seem to be top notch. Wish they had a grilled option on some of the sandwiches. Some good salads and cream cheeses.”

“This food was delicious. The service is wonderful. The waiter was so polite and welcoming. You got your food out at a very decent time. It’s just a small menu for a small corner restaurant. It was clean there. Everything felt nice no problems with the drinks or food. The price was at decencies. I definitely recommend that restaurant if you’re near the area.”

“I love the lottle resturant they have the best food especially the ranch dressing. The service is wonderful and they try their very best to please everyone. When we were there it was a little cold in there and my suggestion is turn up the heat just a little higher so our teeth dont chatter as we are eating lol but we had fun and my son loved the cartoons thwy had on to watch.”

“I heard about this place on Facebook from an old hometown friend and decided to check it out. We went on a Sunday night so it wasnt overly busy. I ordered nachos and my boyfriend ordered a rueben with onion rings. My Nachos had good flavor and since we eat with our other senses as well it was nice to see the colorful plate with veggies and red tortilla chips. The rueben looked amazing with the swirled bread and nice pieces of corned beef. The onion rings had a good flavor and weren't soggy. Looked like it could have been their own batter recipe. Generous portions It was a nice atmosphere decent spacing between tables. It Looked nice and clean. There is a pool table and those kinds of things. And i am told they have good specials. They also have karaoke and eucure on certain nights. Very friendly staff. I will definitely be back on a Saturday to see more.i recommend this place. its worth the drive.”

“Jim's joint BBQ , It was the first time I had stopped. But the lady I was with said it was a great place to eat. I had not even gotten the lady I help out of the van ,and this young man was right there helping. I was so grateful for the help he really was amazing you could tell he REALLY has a good heart and cares about the customers, which you don't find a lot. “We come here quite often! Good burgers, good beer, good fries, jalapeno poppers, and pickle fries, and the list goes on and on! We keep coming back!The only thing I would say in the negative is, it takes a while to get your food on a Sunday afternoon, but with that being said, they are doing the best they can with a smaller crew. And it's worth a little wait time! ? Can't say if it's different other times, because we've only been there on Sundays.”

“Betsie River Pizza and Subs is a to-go or order online for pickup or resort delivery. I’ve been here twice, once getting an Italian toasted sub and the second time getting the deluxe personal pan size pizza. The toasted subs and pizzas are delicious and turned out better than I expected. I asked for my pizza to be well done to avoid soggy pizza and they baked the pizza well.”

“We ordered to go because it was about to close. We got into the room and one of the bags had the wrong order. The restaurant was kind enough to drop the correct order to the place where we were staying at the resort (met the server halfway and was very apologetic). I think the food was great.”
