St. Ambrose Cellars Reviews
Seems the owners are quite greedy and do not care about patrons. We arrived yesterday around 5:30 on July 31st, 2025. Sign at the hostess stand stated kitchen would be closing at 8. The time of the restaurant closing was 10 and the menu stated the kitchen closes an hour before the restaurant closing. This place lives up to the negative google reviews which seem to be a theme about their poor customer service. We should have read them before going out of our way to visit. They have a bar they don't want you to stand at or ask any questions about. They sell products they don't want to answer questions about. St. Ambrose Cellars offers a unique dining experience with a mix of table and counter service. The mead selection is a highlight, with the Star Thistle and Illuminati being sweet and syrupy flagship options. The menu features delicious pizzas, including the Angry Bee, along with honey creme, cinnamon raw honey, and spicy honey spread. The casual and comfortable atmosphere includes live music, picnic tables with umbrellas, and a huge dog-friendly outdoor space, making it great for families and large groups. There are plenty of lawn games to keep everyone entertained, and a small building holds bee-related products. The staff is thoughtful and caring, enhancing the experience for all guests. The outdoor and covered spaces are fabulous, perfect for enjoying a flight of meads & cysers. Customers have praised the great food, including the best fish sandwich and fries, and described their meals as on point. The restaurant has made significant improvements over the years, making it a wonderful one-of-a-kind Up North place to visit.
