We always stop by when up visiting the in-laws. My favorite mead is the Illuminati, and my husband's is the Royal Reserve. You can't really go wrong with any of them. The food is yummy, and if you don't want to go in the evening, it's still a good lunch date spot. The servers are very friendly and helpful. I accidentally spilled one of the drinks from my flight, and they were very gracious and gave me another. Any time of the year, any time they are open, it is worth going! We also stopped by the Beedazzled gift store on our way in and got a few candles and gifts. Very cute!

I was so excited to visit St. Ambrose. Mead is my favorite alcoholic drink and I had had brand loyalty for over a decade. Then on my first visit my wallet fell out of my pocket, when I called they outright refused to help in any way, except hold it for a week if I wanted to make the 8 hour trip there and back.
I cannot in good conscience support St. Ambrose anymore.
I’ll have to find another Michigan meadery to support.

Stopped in on Halloween to listen to Luke Woltanski play and enjoy dinner. Can never go wrong with the pizzas here. Hubby tried the fish. While good, he felt the portion was a little small. I appreciated the Kombucha on tap. Probably would have had another beverage had the service been a bit more attentive.

Excellent service! We had a family party of 14 , first time we've ever had truffle spiced fries they were phenomenal and our pizza was great as well. Our Hawaiian waiter was very polite and very pleasant. We were impressed, and definitely will return when we visit the area again. We'll worth driving 3 1/2 miles away from home to enjoy! We had the meat pizza Most liked the atmosphere, we visited this place years ago when it was just a fine place to get mead Prices seemed ok Being new to visit we didnt know we needed to get our own utensils and napkins as we walked upstairs. A lady waitress got them for us when we asked. If there was anything I didnt like it was the way she acted that we were already being waited on by the Hawaiian waiter and we preferred to keep with him. Because we then were snubbed by her Final impression... we will return
