Illuminati is the drink of the gods. When the Norse speak of Valhalla and their cups brimming with mead, Illuminati is what they are drinking.
A great place for all in the summer time. Great beverages, good food, nice service, you can even bring your kids, there's space for them to move and yard games to play.

Absolutely loved our time here. Highly recommend the Cysers and the Beetza!
Parking: Parking is a dirt lot. There's plenty available.

One of a kind Up North spot! Gotta try their honey creme, cinnamon raw honey, and spicy honey spread, restaurant food is delicious, and such beautiful outdoor and covered spaces to kick back!

My daughter and I had high hopes for this restaurant based on the rave reviews, but we were left disappointed. The atmosphere was lovely, but the food was average at best. There are no napkins or cutlery on the table so we had to ask for that. It looked like on the bar there was a place for you to get your own napkins but we weren’t told that. The same with the to go boxes, when we asked for one of those we were met with an audible sigh and eye roll. And when we asked for the check, we were abruptly told it’s $41, and she just stood there while we scrambled to decide to pay with cash or card. There was no physical check given to us. It was very awkward and we will not be returning.

Absolutely gorgeous place. Staff were rude and impatient, unwilling to answer questions about the different beverages they offer for sale. Cannot order drinks at the bar though that is the first place you see when you go in the door. We didn't bother ordering food and left without buying anything.

Wood fire pizza, drunken goat & fungi were delicious. Mead flight was great - first time we've tried it. Service was good, food served quickly

This was our first visit, the ambiance was lovely, however, the hostess was rude. She never offered where we would like to sit and after sitting for awhile inside without acknowledgment we decided just to buy a bottle of wine and sit outside in the picnic area. We were told we couldn’t drink their wine on their property and was asked to cork the bottle and put it in our car. We did so politely but will not be returning based on the service.

We had an amazing time here! Came on Saturday night around 5pm, we for sure beat the rush. There was live music and a huge outdoor area for seating that is dog friendly! The food and drinks are delicious, definitely recommend trying a flight of all different meads & cysers with a pizza! Great vibes here.

This place lives up to the negative google reviews which seem to be a theme about their poor customer service. We should have read them before going out of our way to visit. They have a bar they don't want you to stand at or ask any questions about. They sell products they don't want to answer questions about. The staff just want to be irritated and inconvenienced that you're visiting to spend money on overpriced wine and mead you aren't supposed to ask about. Sad for such a beautiful venue. Worked in upscale dining and restaurant service and this is how you run a business into the ground. Left without spending a dime and won't be back or recommend.
Stoped for a drink. Sat at a table listening to musics. Waiter walked by several times all around us. Finally he was picking up glasses at the table right next to us, so I asked him if we needed to go up to the bar to order. He said he would be right back. He continued bussing tables and stoping at other tables but never came back to ours. We left after about 15 min. It was not very busy so there was no reason for this. Not sure I’ll come back. Maybe they get enough business they don’t want mine ? Not happy.

We have been coming to St Ambrose for a lot of years. The atmosphere is fantastic. Large outdoor seating area, often with live music on the weekends. They are dog friendly. There are games, gardens and scenic views all over the place. The drinks are fantastic. Those are the good things.
Unfortunately over the last few years the service has gone downhill quickly. I'm not sure if it's a staffing issue, or just pure lack of organization, but plan on waiting quite a while when you're there. It is a very large yard with lots of seats available, and it seems that people just get lost in the shuffle there. Our last stop we waited over 20 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us, and this has become the normal expectation for the last couple years. You also have a fair chance of getting somewhat rude service. This is not always the case, and some of the servers are fantastic, but don't be surprised to get a bit of attitude from the staff while you're there. We attempted to get a servers attention after waiting 20 minutes, but we're quickly told we were not in their section. After exclaiming we've been there for 20 minutes, they reluctantly helped us.
While we will most likely return, because of the drinks and the atmosphere, St Ambrose has fallen far from a must stop location for us. Aside from the pizza, which was better when it was served out of the truck, the food is lackluster, and will most likely leave you disappointed. Hopefully they can figure things out, because having people sit for 15-20 minutes without as much as saying hi is not acceptable.
