Friendly service! Amazing staff.
It was good but not great. The appetizer was better than the entrees. The server was competent, but didn't really seem happy to be there.Traditional Lebanese flavors to be sure. The lamb was cooked well and tasted very good. The restaurant maintains appropriate distancing between diners.
Emily took our call, they are open for dine-in and no reservations required for the two of us tonight. Emily waited on us. The dining is fancy for a Lebanese restaurant, some classical piano music in the background and white table cloth dining experience. The entrance for the restaurant has a red awning. It is not in the office building, which is where the directions will take you from Yelp. It’s to the left the building, where Yelp directions takes you to. We ordered the chicken kafta with crushed lentil soup, chicken shawarma with crushed lentil soup and a Lebanese salad and a regular hummus. It’s $60 for the two entrees, salad and hummus, seems like a lot for Lebanese food, if you ask me. Hoping it blows us away at such high costs. The hummus a nice and smooth at least, though there isn’t much hummus on this plate for $10. The chick peas take up the center of the hummus pile, strategic. We did get some cut radish and cucumber to go with our hummus, other veggies like zucchini, carrots and cauliflower are extra. Ok. Their garlic sauce is made with olive oil. :) The Lebanese salad is refreshing, nice lemon dressing and fresh mint too. The crushed lentil soup is okay, has rice as a filler in it, not my favorite. Needed lemons, a good amount of lemons. The first kafta was beef. Little miscommunication on the chicken kafta. I definitely ordered the chicken kafta, but we did order a lot of food. The chicken kafta meat was super juicy and tender, a tad salty, a bit garlicky, but decent. Some added parley and spices would have made it better for me. The chicken shawarma meat was also tender, super flavorful and quite tasty. The veggies on our entree plates looked sad and dried out and unappealing. The chicken shawarma meat is moist, flavorful too. Service was good, minus the chicken kafta mix-up. The chicken meats, hummus and Lebanese salad were all good.
I ordered the lamb chops, specifically asked for them cooked well done. Unfortunately, they were raw....along with the veggies. Didn’t think you could mess vegetables up. Not to mention the waiter yelling, “where’s the bread? these are still frozen”. Definitely not coming back here.
First experience was great. Stuffed pizza was good, service was good. Second experience....so, so. Third...dear God! We called ahead and still waited almost an hour. Finally seated it was so loud!! No special game on or anything and open tables which seemed odd. 20 minutes for our cocktails, 45 minutes for a salad and a sandwich.. Every specialty cocktail I've had here is made wrong. Nothing is muddled as it should be and some kind of sweetener, maybe too much simple syrup....is add as they are are all too sweet. I'm sad to say we won't be back. I won't pay that kind of money for a sub par experience.
Friendly service! Have never had a complaint, one time we received a pizza that Klavon's didn't believe was up to par. They replaced the whole thing for us before we even realized the issue.
Omgosh, 2/3 of the crew recently stopped in for chow, one of them was severely disappointed in their chicken sandwich entree, it was'nt thoroughly cooked. Please chicken not hamburger needs complete cooking, things slipping in restaurant, may need increased managerial presence. Come on team theres going to be increased traffic in area soon, not time to slip on minimum requirements, especially with increased local competition. I wasn't present but heard all the dissapointing details.
I had the pleasure of having dinner at this new place. Exactly what we needed in the Castro. A really nice, comfortable, moderately priced eatery with outstanding service.
Are you guys open? Ive been calling daily without a response.
Amazing food and amazing service. I never experienced such amazing service. The staff was incredibly professional, kind and patient. I’m a very picky eater and they catered to my every need. I highly recommend this restaurant. The food was A 1. You will not be disappointed.
