Terrible experience! My food took 20 minutes longer than promised, they forgot the main item of my meal, the bar stool had multiple carpentry nails sticking out of it which cut my hand. I’m unbelievably disappointed and upset. I was also promised a call from the manager and a refund. Neither of which have been received.
Some middle aged man pushed me into a TV there. very great service.. the man was rather hot.
I had dinner with my husband and baby yesterday (03/08/2025) night around 3:40pm.
We truly felt unwelcome by the host and the server Khoeung C. We regret having our first dinner out as a family, we would not comeback nor recommend the restaurant for families and friends.
The food was good and the restaurant was clean.

We dined at Adachi for the first time with friends. While we found the food and drinks to be fine, nothing was extraordinary. But more disappointing was the experience. We had been enjoying the time with our friends, while we watched two ladies get moved from their table to a booth to accommodate a larger party. The table turnaround was disruptive to the dining room. Then, after we paid our nearly a $400 bill, the manager came over touched my friend on her shoulder, which was inappropriate, and told her that we needed to leave because they had another reservation waiting. This was so distasteful, but we started to gather our coats and stand to leave. As we did so, they began to reach OVER our shoulders to clear the table before we even stepped away from it. It was by far the rudest experience I have ever had at a restaurant. My husband asked why we were being rushed out and they said we surpassed our 2 hour limit, lol. When booking our reservation there is nothing that gives you a time limit. Typically the more time you spend at a restaurant the more money you spend. My husband also asked the same person about getting dessert and the guy said, well you’re going to have to go somewhere else. We will not be back.

I was really looking forward to introducing my partner to a sushi place she hasn’t been to yet. I called and asked what was available for that evening and was told a 9pm was open. Told the hostess I’d call back in a few minutes to confirm 9pm was okay. Once I called back, they informed me that the 9pm opening was no longer available and the only way to still get in was if I gave them $100. Really rubbed me the wrong way. Food and ambiance is great, but I prefer my sushi without being extorted so I went elsewhere.

Steals tips meant for delivery drivers when you order from Door Dash
Cozy welcoming interior. Spicy Tuna roll was awesome, also had the salmon avocado which was fresh. The shrimp tempura roll was really hard to bite, suggest they do not over fry the tempura shrimp.

My second time here, I absolutely loved it. I started with a perfectly crafted Cosmopolitan, setting a high bar for the evening. The sushi was fabulous so we couldn’t resist ordering a second round. Gabriel, the bartender, was simply outstanding—attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm. He kept us entertained all night long, as did Nick (he makes fabulous drinks too), and Mike, I love the staff here. The vibes are great, and we had a lovely time. Ended the night with an Espresso Martini, will definitely be back for more!

We done as a family at Adachis because they know how to take care of us. From the food to the service to even takeout the food is top notch. Fresh. Thoughtful. During the week I get fresh fish and feel so lucky to be in your neighborhood. Cheers!

I recently visited Adachi and had a very disappointing experience. I waited almost two hours to be seated, only to end up sitting outside in the chilly weather with a non-functional heater. The food was mediocre at best; nothing was good enough to make me want to come back. The sliders were subpar and the fires were very soggy, and the fried rice was very bland with an overpowering ginger taste. Despite the good service from our server, the long wait and the cold seating ruined the experience for me. I will not be returning.

I looooved this restaurant, I came during Birmingham’s Burger Event. I ordered the “Don’t judge a book by its cover” burger, it was the best burger I ever had in my life. My best friend and I were in aw of how delicious the burger was, along with the truffle fries which was a perfect combination. WILL BE BACKKK!! I pray they don’t take it off the menu.
