“Really nice wine list, and couple that with the cheese plate and it's a wonderful start to a relaxing evening. Melanie was our server, and was attentive and fun. The lamb ragu, if you like pasta dishes, is a hit. The dessert choices are not extensive, but then again, the restaurant is not massive in size. I'd rather the volume of choices to be part of the entrees, and not at the finish, when I'm already full!”
“This is the best vegan dessert & cheese shop in detroit! Their vegan cheese flavors are crafted with care & come in many delicious flavors. Their gluten free desserts are a must have. You can eat it all guilt free.”
“A special day. A special night. Couldn't be better. Arranged by our son and daughter. The waiter did everything, except eat our food. The wines were a delight and the steak and salmon were prepared with artistry. He guided us with each entre and the salad was shared by us with dressing aside. Wine, was by the glass and was both red and white and light, semidry and elegant. Our perfect dinner ended the perfect evening. Thank you 220 Merrill for a wonderful 50th.”
“It's simply wow! This place reminds me of the many great pizza joints scattered throughout NYC, NY. While the prices are higher, so is the quality and in my book it's still a great ROI. Order if you're looking for high caliber ingredients and taste. It's in the same league as Crispelli, Sopino, and Bigalora. Give it a try. Our family has been back several times and they have not even been open that long.”
“Drinks are delicious! Food is okay, wouldn’t order again. Atmosphere is nice but way too small, I wish they’d expand as there is almost always no room to sit”
“My only complaints are how long the food took and the dust hanging from the bicycles propped as their decor. Heather T was an awesome server. The food was great as usual. We drove from Rochester Hills to eat at this place. It's totally worth the trip.?”
“This is my go to place for Mexican food in Birmingham. Next to Market Northend, smaller and also accessible when you have no reservations elsewhere. The servers are incredible, the drinks they come up with are always great - especially if you love Mezcal.I typically order the “Big Mac” Slider special, ceviche, or the Fajita Bowl. It’s like a chipotle bowl, but higher quality. The desserts are super delicious, you have to get them both.”
“ALEX! Omg he was the best server that i have ever had in my entire life. He was the most thorough server ever. He had the best recommendations on everything in the restaurant & where to venture out after since we were here for the weekend. He made our experience a 10/10. If you go here, request Alex, you cannot go wrong!!!”
“The main and most important point is that that food was excellent. The restaurant had a great turnover with lots of customers coming in and out. My wife and I ate onsite. There were enough chairs inside by the window to eat at the counter on a cold snow day. The service was very friendly. We were brought a spicy sauce extra that we had not asked for out of a genuine act of hospitality which was much appreciated, very delicious and added to our experience. The grape leaves came warm, served with house pickles on lettuce. The restaurant felt authentic, like a family run joint. The food was definitely homemade and fresh, in all the best ways. The falafel sandwiches were perfect, the hummus was super delicious and ideal consistency and temperature, and having fresh made to order juices on the menu was a big plus too. Highly recommend for Birmingham. Clearly labeled vegan and plant based options.”
“First time customer and let me just say that this was the best Korean food I have ever had! Everything was fresh, the meat was juicy and tender, the spicy california roles were fresh, the fried hibachi puts Benihana rice to shame, like their food is incredible! You have a new repeat customer. Thank you ?”
“I've came here twice (Birmingham location) in less than a week lol. Each time was great. On my first visit my waiter's name was Chris and he was outstanding. He explained every item on the menu, he checked up on me in a timely fashion, just overall great service from him. The Bartender Nate made the best cocktails (I had a Lemon Drop and a Strawberry Lemon Drop) He even came to the table to introduce himself and made sure the drink was to my liking.Food was good, I really liked the garlic aoli with the fries. Fried lobster tacos were delicious. Filet Sliders were good. I'm not a big fan of pretzel buns so I would have preferred a different type of bread but overall they were goodMy second visit I sat at the Bar. Mike was the Bartender and he made me a Cosmopolitan. I ordered Sweet & Spicy Shrimp, Scallops, Pei Mussels and Grilled Wings. Everything was tasty but the wings. If you're a fan of char-grilled taste, than you'll like the wings.”
“Last minute, I was tasked with finding the perfect place for our Easter brunch. Didn't matter that I was from Pennsylvania. Lol.I found 220 Merrill and they had 2 reservations left.Spoiler alert. Everything was perfect. The staff was professional and very warm. (We thanked them that they worked the Holiday so we could enjoy ours.)The food? AMAZING! Everything was well portioned and seasoned perfectly. The bacon, the crispy potatoes, the fluffy eggs and artisan toast, and don't get me started on the shareable red velvet pancakes with cream cheese glaze. And oh, the decor! Everything was perfect.Order the Fuzzy Bubbles, it was a delight in and of itself. Run, don't walk if you want the perfect memorable meal.”
“My favorite restaurant in town and certainly the best bar food in the area. Love their beers and the staff is always professional very friendly. Just a great place to hang out with friends.”
“Came here for brunch with a group of friends and we had a great time. I ordered the blueberry Ricotta pancakes with lemon curd, potatoes, jalapeno polenta, and Earl Grey tea. The pancakes were so delicious, you didn't even need syrup. The potatoes were cooked well, but could have used more seasoning. The polenta was creamy and flavorful. My tea was enjoyable and tasted like high quality Earl Grey. The only negative is the customer service could have been better. The waiters weren't very attentive or personable. We found ourselves having to flag them down or get up and find a staff person if we wanted something. Could have just been an off day though. Totally coming back. This is an awesome place for brunch.”
“This has become my new favorite sushi restaurant. The staff was friendly and gave great recommendations. The food was delicious. I did order a sushi roll that had truffle in it, and it was not my favorite, the flavors were not complimenting each other. Everything else we ordered was so flavorful and great that i would order it again next time. Boa buns were good, but not amazing.”
