The short rib deserves all the praise it gets. Deep flavor and incredibly tender. The billionaire fried rice was a fun side as well. Thank you George for always taking extremely good care of us.
Still my absolute favorite spot in the heart of Birmingham, Ive been coming for years. Still the best steak house around imo. A lot of good choices as far as service. Bachir is my usual recommendation.
Came here for a date night and it worked perfectly. The room has a warm glow and the cocktails were well crafted. The Bronzino was delicate and flaky. If I had to nitpick, the wings could have used a bit more heat, but the flavor was still great.

The staff is friendly and helpful, making customers feel welcome. The food, including delicious calamari, Caesar salad, and the highly recommended lamb chops, is hot and flavorful. Customers also enjoy the chicken parm and short ribs. The restaurant can get a bit noisy when busy, especially with a DJ playing good music, but the overall experience is enjoyable. Beautiful presentation matches the great taste of the food. The dessert menu features a popular cookie butter tres leches cake. Whether it's for a special occasion or a sunny day on the patio, 220 Merrill provides a wonderful dining experience with exceptional service.
