“Was happy with everything we had. Place was very clean, staff friendly and food good.Had the huevos ranchero which overall was very tasty, but it has mostly onion for vegetables. A more even mix of the onions and peppers would have made it top notch.Oysters were incredibly flavorful and a good choice for a starter.Clam chowder was packed with clams, a nice amount of potatoes and celery mixed in. Could have been a bit warmer, was closer to mildly warm than hot.Crab cakes were absolutely loaded with crab and had a nice butter taste, not just filler like most places.Basil Hazel was a great mocktail that I'd love to have again.Overall was quite happy, with a couple minor tweaks, I'd bump up to the 5th star.“
“A special day. A special night. Couldn't be better. Arranged by our son and daughter. The waiter did everything, except eat our food. The wines were a delight and the steak and salmon were prepared with artistry. He guided us with each entre and the salad was shared by us with dressing aside. Wine, was by the glass and was both red and white and light, semidry and elegant. Our perfect dinner ended the perfect evening. Thank you 220 Merrill for a wonderful 50th.“
“Last minute, I was tasked with finding the perfect place for our Easter brunch. Didn't matter that I was from Pennsylvania. Lol.I found 220 Merrill and they had 2 reservations left.Spoiler alert. Everything was perfect.The staff was professional and very warm. (We thanked them that they worked the Holiday so we could enjoy ours.)The food? AMAZING! Everything was well portioned and seasoned perfectly.The bacon, the crispy potatoes, the fluffy eggs and artisan toast, and don't get me started on the shareable red velvet pancakes with cream cheese glaze.And oh, the decor! Everything was perfect.Order the Fuzzy Bubbles, it was a delight in and of itself. Run, don't walk if you want the perfect memorable meal.“
“I've came here twice (Birmingham location) in less than a week lol. Each time was great. On my first visit my waiter's name was Chris and he was outstanding. He explained every item on the menu, he checked up on me in a timely fashion, just overall great service from him. The Bartender Nate made the best cocktails (I had a Lemon Drop and a Strawberry Lemon Drop) He even came to the table to introduce himself and made sure the drink was to my liking.Food was good, I really liked the garlic aoli with the fries. Fried lobster tacos were delicious. Filet Sliders were good. I'm not a big fan of pretzel buns so I would have preferred a different type of bread but overall they were goodMy second visit I sat at the Bar. Mike was the Bartender and he made me a Cosmopolitan. I ordered Sweet & Spicy Shrimp, Scallops, Pei Mussels and Grilled Wings. Everything was tasty but the wings. If you're a fan of char-grilled taste, than you'll like the wings.“
“Booked a private room for my wedding reception. The food here is great, several of my guests mentioned it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding. Super nice aesthetic too. But the best part was definitely the service. Very friendly and wonderful, we had 3 of maybe 4 people helping the 50+ guests and they were always there and ready to help.Vegetarian options: Impossible burger, salads“

“We went at a busy time (5pm) on Saturday 3/9/24. We only waited about 10 minutes for our table. The Server came over to us immediately and took our order. Despite it being very busy our food came out fast and it was perfectly cooked. The steak bites were the best I’ve had. The burger was super tasty and bun it came on held up like a champ (hate soggy buns). The truffle fries were also excellent and the Mac and cheese has an excellent crust on top yet tender noodles.It was just loud enough that no one could hear our daughter cry and yell a bit as she was scared of the antlers.Our server was a very pleasant young man with an excellent beard (Bonus points). He didn’t even write down our order which worried me but everything came out perfect.This will be our go to spot for family dinners out.Bill was great! $83 bucks for a burger, truffle fries, steak bites, Mac and cheese and 2 adult beverages.Kid-friendliness: Lots of other families with young ones in there made us feel more comfortable about having our 10 month old in there.“

(Try the swordfish, the tabouli, the cauliflower salad, the breads! Every dessert! All of it.) I can’t wait for the next meal! And the space?! It’s gorgeous! Every detail is a delight - from the fabulous palette to the vintage tennis posters, to the beautiful (and comfy) furniture. It is so welcoming and just makes you want to linger! 5+++stars!“
“Wow!!! I went once and then HAD to go back. Went during lunch at work it is very close to me. The staff was training some new hires for the holiday season coming up and everyone was just super nice and friendly. Took just a little bit longer to get rung up because of the new help but did not change my opinion. The lunch options are absolutely amazing and decently priced you could get just the sandwich or a side and a drink OR TWO SIDES which is what I got lol. I got the honey baked ham sandwich the first time with two sides in the photo they ran out of the bread so they put it on a Hawaiian bun which was fine but I can't wait to try it with the ciabatta bun. The regular classic ham sandwich was absolutely amazing also. If you are looking for a delicious sandwich for lunch come here, a nice place that is clean and tidy come here, and if you are looking for good service come here! I can't say anything more great about this place and the sandwiches.“
“Toast is a Birmingham favorite. From their amazing coffee drinks (try the Spanish) to their unique omelettes (get the brie) there are few things not to like. Situated in the heart of the city, parks, shops, and other eateries are no more than a few steps away. Definitely stop in for a bite.“

The fresh modern farmhouse atmosphere was inviting and comfortable. I gave it four stars because the food was straight forward and good. For example, the pancakes were tasty, yet not punctuated with something that gives it that extra kick, like buttermilk. That's not a bad thing. Comparing price and quality, I was happy. To counter this, they offer an array of condiments and sauces at the table to craft your own experience. Great job! I'm sure I'll be a repeat customer.Parking: Parking was easy and not hard to find.“
“Such a lively place in downtown Birmingham! The burger here is one of my favorites in the area. The grilled cheese and the tenderloin appetizer were some other favorites. The nachos and buffalo wings have also been recommended by other people. Service was very efficient and friendly.“

We had the day's non-menu house specials; Beef Wellington and Lobster Wellington and both were prepared to perfection. The ambience is nice however it's on the ground floor of a hotel. This would not be a problem but my party was seated next to three French doors that lead to the main lobby of the hotel. Each were blocked by a large plant with the doors ajar around the plants . The plants did not deter people from entering and exiting the door I was seated next to which was a little unnerving as they walked by the table and behind me. All-in-all, the discomfort was minimal and did not ruin the experience.Vegetarian options: A few salad offerings that can be ordered with or without an animal protein. A few vegetable and bread offerings.Wheelchair accessibility: It's on the ground floor of a hotel and there weren't any obstructions that should restrict accessibility.“
“This place is definitely a more upscale "Irish Pub." The food was great, the restaurant was clean and cute, and the service was good. We had deviled eggs, fries, and buffalo boneless wings. They were good for bar food. They had an excellent selection of craft cocktails and beers.“
“Was looking for a new place to grab a quick snack before going to the movies, and Sidecar Slider Bar did not disappoint! We stuck to the shareable menu because we planned on eating a ridiculous amount of popcorn, and the items we picked were amazing! We went with the waffle truffle parmesan fries, roasted balsamic and blue cheese Brussel sprouts, and southwest egg rolls. The truffle fries were absolutely hands down the best parmesan truffle fries I have had, and I have had them at a few different establishments. They were hot, fresh, big, and I loved that they were tossed in a truffle oil AND covered with a parmesan truffle sauce instead of just a sprinkle of parmesan cheese. The Brussel sprouts were really good. They also come with bacon, but we aren't pork eaters, so we ordered them without, but they were still awesome! The balsamic and blue cheese crumble complimented the crispy Brussel sprouts well. Last but not least , the southwest egg rolls. They came with a side of sour cream and a zesty spicy ranch type dressing. They were great, stuffed with the perfect amount of black beans, corn, chicken, cheese, and spices. When they say shareable, they mean it because those three dishes had the two of us extremely full and needing a brisk walk before heading to the movies to fill up on movie theater treats! In all, it was a great new restaurant experience that I will definitely return to have. The wait staff was awesome, and the place was clean, and the vibes were great. Kind of a sports bar meets family hang out spot! Check out Side Car Slider Bar next time you are in downtown Birmingham, MI.“

“Really nice wine list, and couple that with the cheese plate and it's a wonderful start to a relaxing evening. Melanie was our server, and was attentive and fun. The lamb ragu, if you like pasta dishes, is a hit. The dessert choices are not extensive, but then again, the restaurant is not massive in size. I'd rather the volume of choices to be part of the entrees, and not at the finish, when I'm already full!“
