“This restaurant is a gem in Berkeley. We love the drinks and appetizers and the menu rotates for the season. We've never had a bad meal, the atmosphere is beautiful and it feels very elevated for a birthday or celebration without having to drive to the city.“

“Where do I even begin? The second we walked in the door, everyone was so wonderful! We took our twins out to celebrate their second birthday! Our waiter Nicholas was so kind and patient! He made sure our babies food was put in quickly and came out hot and fresh. (They were getting hangry. haha) Nicholas gave us some recommendations and they did not disappoint! 👏🏽 Everything we got was fresh, hot, and delicious, from the appetizer, to our meals, to the twins' meals. Even my mocktail was spot on! Their manager, Amanda, was who delivered our food. She was so sweet and cheerful!! She came back over later on to check on us and wish our babies a happy birthday! The entire restaurant was clean and well maintained. You can truly tell the staff enjoy their jobs. Nicholas and Amanda made sure we had a great first experience. My hubby and I have decided to come back, minus babies, and have a date night so we can further enjoy the extensive, and yummy looking, menu. 10/10 highly recommend.“

“Absolutely love Bagger Dave’s in Berkley! Kim is amazing—she’s always so friendly, helpful, and makes ordering easy whether you’re dining in or grabbing carryout.

I had the Mushroom Swiss Burger, and the mushrooms are seriously to die for! 🍔🍄 And whatever you order, do yourself a favor and get the Santa Fe Chipotle dipping sauce—it is an absolute MUST-HAVE. I could honestly put it on everything!

Their food…100/10. Their drinks are plentiful and their food is all authentic and homemade. Their Langos with garlic sauce is AMAZING…Honestly my wife and I have tried almost all of their staples (they also have rotating chef specials) and we have not found one thing that we don’t like. “I moved here in March and I’m still working on finding my new local go to spots. It’s my first time here and this is going to be my #1 go to diner/Coney Island.
It’s a family run business and it’s obvious that they work hard to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The waitresses are genuinely kind and you can tell they care about their customer.

The food was really good! It came out quick, the portions were generous, and if you like hash browns you won’t be sorry!! I’m a big coffee gal and my coffee was never empty, always hot, and as a VERY rare treat, the coffee is actually really good.

Lastly, the restaurant is clean and well maintained. It is obvious they take pride in what they do and are dedicated to making a great experience.

“My experience was fantastic!! Being the first time here. We went for a late lunch early dinner... The bartender was our waitress. I've been to other places where we have been served by the bartender that only cared about the regulars. She was awesome and very attentive. My dirty martini was on point! The burgers are huge and delicious. Brussel sprout app was delicious! Great onion rings. We will definitely be back!“

“I had not been to a Beefcarver since I was a kid to the location on 8 mile. Stopped in today to the Woodward location. “We were instantly greeted and seated. Our server Robby was awesome. The entire staff was friendly. Chef Johnny is very talented and friendly. I love that he greets all guest and will even bring your food out himself. For starters we had the shrimp and crab cakes. They were crispy on the outside and melted in your mouth. The surprise with these was that there was whole shrimp inside. We loved it. The sauce on top was just the right amount. The salmon with saffron rice, coconut curry sauce and green apple slaw was the best salmon I've had in a while. The pairing was new for me but it worked. The salmon was juicy and perfectly cooked. When paired with everything on my plate it was like fireworks. Everything popped and was amazing. My husband had the beef strudel. Now he was thinking it was gonna be like a beef wellington but no. When he put his fork into the perfectly crispy flaky crust and into the most tender beef either of us have ever had, OMG. With the first bite all he could do was say "WOW"(sorry about how loud he was). The flavors of that plate were incredible. The blueberry cheesecake was the icing on the cake. It was perfect. Sweet but not too sweet and the smear of lemon sauce on the side elevated the flavors. The drinks. I had the rainforest and my husband had the Johnny Manhattan. When we saw how small the glasses were we were definitely worried. That feeling quickly faded with the first sip. The drinks may be small but they are strong and delicious. We had to pace ourselves with those. Overall, I give this place a 10/10 and will definitely be back again soon. Thank you to everyone there for a great time and for great service.“

“Good food, nice staff. I carried out and ordered the nachos, once. The beans and cheese were missing from the order, which was inconvenient but stuff happens. I didn't realize it till I got home. The staff took care of it and were professional and courteous. They made me a new batch and gave me extra sides for the order I took originally. So I ended up with 2 orders. They were both delicious! Our server, didn't catch her name was awesome, not a single complaint and nothing but anything positive to say about her. We dined in on 7/11/26 and were led to a section where there was a group made primarily of kids (def out#ed kids to adults or seemed that way) which seems odd for a brewery, yes grif makes amazing food and they dont want to exclude anyone from enjoying theyre amazing brew and food but like dang... as a parent maybe rethink where you're taking your kids. I really would rather not hear your velocorapters screeching as they run around yer tables as you speak of nothing of importance... thats kinda mean and I meant it... not deleting it.

Our server was awesome, sorry I dont remember her name, brunette with ponytail. Prolly not gonna help. She was awesome. Helped source a fifth of the flying buffalo bourbon and a thing of doppel gangger. Again everything was awesome, truf burger was cooked to med like a pro. Flavor was outstanding. Staff outstanding. Great experience.
