They could use some updates to the restrooms and seating, but what they have now is fine for their clientele - blue collar locals mostly from what I can tell. “I ate here on Wednesday night (Feb 7 2024) with a large group, 12 people for a friend's birthday, and it was fantastic! The food and drinks were incredible, but I was most impressed with our server, a guy with a black beanie and beard. Our group split our check into 6 different checks and I imagine it was such a pain to organize everything given we all had multiple plates and drinks. He was so friendly, helpful, and just a great server. Thanks for a great experience! I have also been once before and it was great then too. Love this place“
“Stopped and placed a carry out and they had a restaurant full of guests (2 were parties in the banquet area). Went to the store and came back and food was ready and the staff were exceptional and my dinty moore and the lemon rice soup were excellent! “Food is always great, some of the best around Metro Detroit for sure. My only annoyance is the mystery around the tasting menu. I was there yesterday and my friend for the tasting menu and I ordered from the menu. He got more plates of course, but the things I ordered- tuna tartar, cabbage and steak were all part of the tasting menu, I just got a bigger portion size. I was hoping to have a much more variety which is why we ordered that way. Everything was delicious and service was great. Just consider the mystery of the tasting menu doesn’t really make sense if every item is just a small portion of what is listed on the menu.“
