Terrific, friendly service. I ordered the Italian Beef Sandwich with the peppers and cheese. The lady at the window recommended getting it dipped. It made for a messy sandwich, but it was delicious. Definitely the way to order it if you eat it at one of their picnic tables. Get at least a few napkins. If I were to order it to go, however, I would probably ask for the au jus on the side. That said, it's one of the best sandwiches I've had in metro Detroit.
Looking for a fun lunch adventure, we found an Eater Detroit article that recommended Matt and Mo's as a great sandwich spot. I lived in Chicago for 15 years and the hubs was born and raised in the Chicago suburbs, so we were pumped to find a possible new hot dog and Italian beef spot. If you've never had italian beef sandwich, you're missing out matt and mo's Has the best I've ever had. So tender so flavorful.
