“Cannot go to bed tonight without writing this review first. Sat at the bar and service was impeccable. Bartender/waitstaff really knew the menu well. Ordered the trout, beet salad, and gnocchi all of which were flavorful and texturally perfect. For dessert, ordered the upside down carrot cake and pavlova. Ate every last bite even though we were already full. We will be coming back and bringing friends!“

Their homemade sourdough bread was filled with all kinds of yummy grains and rivaled anything I had in Europe. It was served with cherry-jam butter, which was ok in my mind--I would have been perfectly happy with salted butter. TWICE COOKED EGG* 14 werp farms' greens, brussels sprout, salty cheese, warm shallot vinaigrette The egg atop this salad was really interesting...they took a poached egg and dipped it and fried it. The Brussels sprouts in this salad were super flavorful. I really enjoyed it. The rest of what we had was not on the website for me to grab descriptions and cost. We also had mushroom spring rolls, which were so flavorful! The tiny mushrooms in the spring rolls (not fried, my favorite kind!) were accompanied by many other fresh vegetables and had a delicious dipping sauce. We also had some broccolini and the pork chop. That pork chop was also super flavorful accompanied by collard greens, grits and cornbread. All of this food was so filling I had to take most of the pork chop dish home for today. The service was outstanding. My water glass never went below the halfway mark, and we never had need to pour wine from the bottle because Megan, our waitress, was ON IT!! While the interior of this place is loud, I didn't find myself shouting to be heard. The whole place is painted chartreuse, just like the name. We wrapped all of this up with 2 tastes of chartreuse...the green one was more herbaceous, leaning toward savory, and the yellow chartreuse was sweet. A nice modern ambiance that still has some old styles to it including artwork. Open kitchen concept where you can see the prep work for your meal. Our table had the prime rib burgers and steak and frites. The burger was one of the best tasting burgers I have had in a long time and the steak was so tender!! Service was great, and although Olin has pricier items the portion sizes you get match the value. The employs there were 2nd visit we brought a couple of friends after a night at Johnnys. They liked it as we did. Again many choices to drink. Casual table and easy guest to speak with, many of whom were playing various games. Asked to switch the channel on TV and no problem did it right away. Both good. We shared the steak tartare and braised beef apps. Both were delicious. Nice just and flavor with the tartare. The whipped feta with beets was smooth and delicious. I got the scallops and risotto. The risotto Nero was interesting. I don’t know if they added cheese but there was almost a smaller gelatin consistency. Scallops were nicely seared. Other main was the tagliatelle with lamb ragú. It had a nice hint of spice and the fresh pasta was evident. Dessert was a VERY rich chocolate ganache-like dessert with small malt balls on top. There was a hint of thyme which was a good contrasting flavor.“

Because of the seasonal menu rotations, there is always something new and interesting to sip or bite. A constant cocktail on the menu that I highly recommend is called the Snake in the Grass. Of course I had to get a taste of everything so the Vegetarian Plate was an absolute must. It came with so many different food items and even just the presentation alone was gorgeous. My favorites were the fried Falafel which was super flavorful, crispy, but not dry at all like many can be from other places, the Baba Ghanouge was fantastic, and the Hummus which was so smooth and some of the best I’ve had. Hot bread was provided as well for dipping. Now if I’m completely honest, I did not care for the Veggie Grape Leaves or the Fattoush Salad. The salad seemed a little soggy and the flavors just kind of blended together, and the Grape Leaves had much too strong of a lemon/garlic type of taste that was way too overpowering.For our Entrees I decided on the Kibbeh Niyeh (raw lamb), which was very fresh and a large portion for the price. My friend decided to mix it up and try the Chicken Florentine. I wasn’t sure a predominantly Middle Eastern style restaurant could deliver on a dish like that, but not only was the portion huge, the flavor and quality is like one you’d find at a nice Italian restaurant. I was very surprised.For Dessert we of course had to try the Tiramisu. Each bite nearly had our eyes rolling to the back of our heads. “Stellar sliders, solid shakes, and chill atmosphereI ordered a double-cheeseburger slider and vanilla shake.The Slider: the bun is not cakey but rather a soft sponge-type bread that absorbs the juice of the burger well. This leaves a great meat-to-bun ratio, and the cheese melt is glorious, covering every part of the patty. I witnessed the maestro on the grill as he made my sliders, and he used the tried and true "pinch and pull" method of lifting the patty off the grill. I then saw him scrap the melted cheese on the grill and add it to the burger. It was a marvelous process to witness and a magical taste to experience. The sliders were hot, cheezy, and accompanied by caramelized onions and a touch of ketchup added for some sweetness. I was highly impressed by the double-cheeseburger sliders I ordered, so much so that I ate 5 in total.The Shake: It was creamy and delicious, and it was just right in that Goldilocks zone of not being too thick and not too milky.I ate lunch on a Sunday, and there were only a few other diners, so it was a very calm and chill environment to enjoy my food in. The service was prompt and respectful. I was not waiting long either for my order to be taken or delivered.Parking: Plenty of paid parking on Main Street but there are parking garages nearby that are free for the first 2 hours. I parked a 5 min walk away in the neighborhoods so I could park for free and enjoy the nice weather on my walk.“
