Based on the reviews, Highlands Detroit offers spectacular views of the Detroit River and the park below. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and is a fantastic spot for special events like birthdays, anniversaries, and Valentine’s Day dinner. The food and drinks are great, with everything priced extremely competitively. The food is delicious and comes out exactly at the temp it was meant to be eaten. The service is excellent, with servers who are amazing, polite, friendly, and outstanding. They help navigate the menu, offer a mocktail menu, and have great wine suggestions. However, the restaurant is very expensive, with one reviewer spending $400 for two people. It is also difficult to find the elevator inside the GM building, requiring help from employees. The restaurant is planning to close in May of 2027.
