I had not been to a Beefcarver since I was a kid to the location on 8 mile. Stopped in today to the Woodward location. Food was good, the atmosphere is very nostalgic (I loved it), and the staff was amazing. The gentleman waiting on us was very friendly and very on top of things! We will be back.
I love this place. It’s sad the only location to survive is Woodward. I would eat here 3 or more times per week if you would come back to 59 near Lakeside Mall. I would even accept the 16/Gratiot location.
Had my birthday dinner with the kids but $70 is a lot for three people.

Sign of the Beefcarver is an awesome restaurant where customers tell the chef their preferences and watch their meal being prepared. The food is amazing, and the rustic interior resembles Cracker Barrel. Prices are decent for the quality and quantity of food served. The restaurant has restrooms and handicap areas, but be prepared for potential long waits. It's a great place for buffet-style meat dinners: roast turkey, carved roast beef in front of you, meat loaf. The cafeteria style is nice, you can pick what you want from the cold items like salads, jello, fruit salad and then for the hot foods they plate it for you. They take your tray to your table and the customer service is wonderful. They're always happy to serve you. The baked scrod is loved. Soft drinks only, but ask if you bring a bottle of wine, if they allow a wine-corking fee.
