“Fast friendly service! Kimmy is the BEST server! We loved the ribs and cocktails”
“Great place! Paul made us some of his delicious cocktails, and the meatballs were on point. Very creative menu.”
“My friends and I enjoyed Sunday brunch. Our server Sarah was the absolute best! The food was yummy. We had the fried chicken sandwich, burger with fries, and tagliatelle pasta with lamb. We wished for more dessert options, the Tiramisu was just ok. The space is cozy with nice decor, I will definitely be back!”
“We were instantly greeted and seated. Our server Robby was awesome. The entire staff was friendly. Chef Johnny is very talented and friendly. I love that he greets all guest and will even bring your food out himself. For starters we had the shrimp and crab cakes. They were crispy on the outside and melted in your mouth. The surprise with these was that there was whole shrimp inside. We loved it. The sauce on top was just the right amount. The salmon with saffron rice, coconut curry sauce and green apple slaw was the best salmon I've had in a while. The pairing was new for me but it worked. The salmon was juicy and perfectly cooked. When paired with everything on my plate it was like fireworks. Everything popped and was amazing. My husband had the beef strudel. Now he was thinking it was gonna be like a beef wellington but no. When he put his fork into the perfectly crispy flaky crust and into the most tender beef either of us have ever had, OMG. With the first bite all he could do was say "WOW"(sorry about how loud he was). The flavors of that plate were incredible. The blueberry cheesecake was the icing on the cake. It was perfect. Sweet but not too sweet and the smear of lemon sauce on the side elevated the flavors. The drinks. I had the rainforest and my husband had the Johnny Manhattan. When we saw how small the glasses were we were definitely worried. That feeling quickly faded with the first sip. The drinks may be small but they are strong and delicious. We had to pace ourselves with those. Overall, I give this place a 10/10 and will definitely be back again soon. Thank you to everyone there for a great time and for great service.”
“Jen served us on Saturday on the patio & she killed it! Her customer service was nothing short of amazing. Her knowledge of the menu. Her description of the dish I wanted just made me melt. Everything tasted delicious. We didn’t feel rush at all. I Love her personality. Thank you for having us. We can’t wait to visit again.”

“Me and my family had lunch at Noorjahan Restaurant, the food was very awesome and tasted great and was a good quality. Our server was Tazul, he was very courteous and efficient in delivering the food and catered to our every need. The food was very tasty awesome and high quality. Great tasting Indian food!”
“Cannot speak on the location but they came to my work as a vendor and the food was great, very flavorful and a good portion. Even witnessed a co-worker drop their lunch (not from royal oak masala) and they gave them a portion for free, what great character the employees have.”
“Excellent service. Everyone was extremely nice and helpful. The Sushi was spot on.”
“Our dining experience was fabulous! Great food, beautiful ambiance, friendly service! One small detail I noticed: the servers / wait staff are not crumbing the tables in between courses or before dessert. Small observation, however, did not take away from the experience. I thought I would mention it because crumbing is an added plus to the fine dining experience of first class service. All in all, we had a fabulous time and will return next month for my husband’s birthday.”

“Although I am not a member of the LGBTQ+ community , I visited here last weekend after frequenting five 15 ! I cannot express enough how refreshing it is was to be at a place where everyone was accepted , validated and safe! This country is a messed up place , but having a place that is welcoming and not to mention FUN will make a difference in someone’s life !”
“Harmony was the hostess when I placed my take out order. I had my lil fur baby and she was so sweet and gave him some treats, recommend the best flavor for some wings and refilled my drink before I left (since I was waiting outside for my food and was sipping on it). Highly recommend this location, the staff, food and hospitality is big here!! I appreciate you Harmony, thank you for the love 🤌🏼💜”

“Had another great night out at Edo! Fantastic service every time! Brandy was our waitress this time and she was VERY attentive, helpful, kind, and gave us stellar service! I hope you treat your staff well! They are all amazing! Food is always good, consistent, and large portions! Will be back for the service alone but the food is a huge plus!”
“This was my first visit, but it won't be my last visit for sure. The food and drinks were good. Our server was awesome as well. Im sorry that I don't remember her name, but she was great.”

“I had 5 broken teeth and 2 large abscesses and couldn't eat much of anything but was starving. I was looking for something soft to gum. Thinking tamales or beans and cheese. Of the options the flour tortilla beef birria seemed to be the best fit. I ordered those, a side of beans and, a side of consomme. Was amazing. Just on the edge of what I can tolerate heat wise (I am a wimp). Great taste. I used the consomme to make birria ramen for a later meal. (Just beef ramen, 2 sticks string cheese, and the consomme). It was also great, very satisfying.”
“At a recent family birthday celebration, I needed appetizers at the last minute. I went to the right people for help! It was no problem for Kal and Ann! They cheerfully made fresh batches of delicious hummus (two varieties) which came with chips and pita bread. I served that, along with two kinds of their fabulous soup, to my dinner guests. Everyone complimented the delicious food Kal and Ann prepared. If you haven’t tried KAL’s Lunch Bowl, located in the Royal Oak Farmers Market yet, I recommend it. You won’t be a “just another customer” ~~ You’ll be a FRIEND!”
“DOC Royal Oak for me is the best option in the Royal Oak area for espresso-based drinks. The loungey seating is better than most places but the ambient music that is always running is a great reason to sit and enjoy a coffee. Excellent selection of tunes with a wide variety ranging from old school funk to modern chill. The roasted coffee selection for purchase rates very well. And the baristas are well-trained in pulling top-tier shots to go along with perfectly frothed milk for your cappuccino or macchiato (my go-to’s)”
“ordered from door dash a couple of times and this will be my last. every time, there is something wrong with the order. today, half of the order was missing and packing was so careless that the driver showed up with a container full of food spilled in the bag. As for the food, it has never been great, just okay.”
“The patty melt was so good, they were generous with the pickles and the deluxe meal came with a whole box of really hot fries and a pop. My only wish was that the fries were more seasoned but that’s a nitpick. This is a really great place, I called ahead and picked up my order in the drive through 7 minutes later. I’ll definitely be back.”
“I was hesitant about trying new restaurants because they always disappoint me but not this one! I can say hands down is the best I’ve been to. The enchiladas suizas are exactly like I know them from México. The coffee.. im not a coffee drinker well I had that one for sure! The service is extraordinary, super kind and attentive. Amazing place! Please don’t ever change!!”

“Great spot for meeting up with friends. Our waitress upcharged us for simple items without telling us. It was a group of about 15. I ordered nachos and asked to hold the onions and peppers. I told her I'd take extra olives instead. She charged me 50¢ 😳🤷🏽 We all noticed upcharges for simple items. We'll know next time. 😊”
“Food was great, very authentic and fresh. Drinks were good too. Had a margarita and piña colada and the Michigan burrito. Great experience, highly recommend!”

“WOW Mediterranean is undoubtedly one of the finest eateries in the Metro Detroit area. As a family-owned and operated establishment, it has become a beloved staple over the years. Every visit reaffirms its consistent excellence in both food and service. Kenny and Brian, in particular, always ensure a delightful experience with their outstanding hospitality and delicious Mediterranean cuisine.”
“Pad Thai curry sounded nice with beef and spicy.
It wasn’t interesting dish. I’ve never had pad Thai curry and it turned out to be exactly what it sounds like pad Thai in curry sauce. It took some getting used to, but I tried to eat it. I think I like noodles that are less creamy and I have no curry. I’d like to be able to taste individual flavors of the vegetables and protein. Won’t be ordering this one again.
Quiet on a Tuesday night at dinner time. I like that the menus are at the table and the service was quick and responsive.”
“First time diner and it was a great experience. The Huevos Rancheros was fantastic. It had so many good ingredients, but the best was fresh Chorizo. You could be in Mexican Town. Also, the homemade chicken soup is just like Mom used to make. Staff was friendly and attentive. I will be back.”
“Maybe I was just super hungry, but that Hawaiian roll may have been the best sushi I’ve eaten, and that kimchi rice?!?! To die for!! Plus, the service was outstanding. We’ll be back.”
“Great place with friendly, attentive wait staff. Portion size is very big but so yummy you will enjoy taking some home for later. Even entertainment in the dinner hour.”
“I try to include le Crepe in my trips to the Detroit area. I would love if they could include buckwheat crepes for the savory part of the menu to help further recreate mental and gastronomic visits to Paris.
I also love the background music that sets the environment out of our pathetic 60's/ 70's drone.”

“I had not been to a Beefcarver since I was a kid to the location on 8 mile. Stopped in today to the Woodward location. Food was good, the atmosphere is very nostalgic (I loved it), and the staff was amazing. The gentleman waiting on us was very friendly and very on top of things! We will be back.”
“Really good! Prices were amazing definitely cheaper then anywhere else around there. I ordered an ice vanilla latte and it was ready in what felt like seconds! The cashier was kind the workers were kind! It was quiet and perfect! And definitely one of the better lattes I have had.”
“This review is for the Royal Oak Roast only. The road is full of as*holes , the world going to sh*t more and more. The people in charge care not at all and we are on a very possible path to doom. Why not stop in at Royal Oak Roast? It’s a comfy place with great people watching. The coffee is wonderful and refills are a dollar. So many different coffee choices in all styles, including espresso over over Weiss vanilla ice cream!!! The kitchen, yes I said kitchen has scrumptious food that is presented beautifully with the seasonal selections. All this sound good? Well that’s not even the best part. It’s the staff. It’s a varied collection of kind, hard working people that make you feel welcomed and are always working hard to get your order out to you. Leave the stress behind and relax here with friends and future friends. You will be glad you came”
“I arrived on an early Friday night. It was busy. I was seated and I didn’t get a menu until 15 minutes later. After I placed my order, it arrived fairly quickly. I ate the Firecracker roll and the Shoyu Ramen.
I personally don’t like sushi but the firecracker was AMAZING. I’m definitely coming back only for this dish.
Shoyu ramen was 1/10. Don’t bother.
The decor is pretty out dated. The place is wheelchair assessable. There is a parking garage right across this restaurant. There are a few parking spots outside but they were taken up at the time of visit.”
“My father and I went in today for the 5 year celebration and our server Tajma was amazing. She knew the beers like the back of her hand and we had a great conversation about local breweries and beers we are huge fans of! Keep up the great work. Also the wings were phenomenal honey sirracha delicious, and the platter had so much amazing stuff we had to take a lot home! We will be back.”
“I AM SOOO HAPPY KAIZEN OPENED BACK UP. The ramen is delicious and the noodles made in house is fantastic. The chef Yoshika was amazing and so was her art that was hung on the wall.”
“My server informed me at the very end of my meal that the restaurant has lied to customers for over a year about having gluten free carrot cake and they have just been feeding people with intolerances gluten containing cake. So disrespectful. I got glutened after I spent $200 on my meal and was assured I had chosen gluten free dishes and precautions were being taken. Like look, I get it. Food allergies are a pain in the *ss but if you can't accommodate people with them don't lie to your customers. There are lots of other places in the metro area who do take allergies and medical conditions seriously. Way to ruin my birthday. Im going to be sick for a whole week because I have Celiac Disease. Thanks a ton.”
“We went here on La Feast’s 1st or 2nd day of its re-Grand Opening. There was only one waiter, who expressed he was new, who was working his tail off and was so so friendly. I am only giving 4 stars for service because I think the restaurant should set themselves up better for success when they’re doing a second grand opening. The food was fresh. The chicken wasn’t the best tasting I’ve had, wasn’t the worst. Falafel was good. Veggies were meh, I wish there was squash, pepper, onion, etc., and grilled. Seemed to be steamed. I am willing to give this place a second try and hoping to give it 5 stars!”
“It is the place to grab food and snacks at the hospital. Great pre-packaed items and freshly prepared items. Make sure to have the soup. Fountain pops can be re-filled for 99 cents. Open later than anywhere in the hospital for food.”
“We had Bri as our server. She was so nice, sweet, helpful, and attentive. She made sure we had everything we needed and kept checking on us in a timely manner. She had a smile on her face the entire time. Such a pleasant person to have as a server. Scott the manager also checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed. We had the hot honey bacon flatbread and it was amazing. Will definitely be back.”

“Tom's Oyster Bar on Main Street in Downtown Royal Oak was wonderful. My wife and I shared our one year wedding anniversary there last night and the food was absolutely incredible. Our waitress Daniel was amazing and she did a great job. I had the Baja Fish Tacos (Atlantic Cod). It was super scrumptious. My wife had a seafood pasta and it tasted too oniony at first but the waitress had the Chefs make it again and it was absolutely perfect the second time around. A lot less garlic and onion and they got it spot on the second time around. We started off with the seafood sampler. It had a panko crab cake that was great. Dynamite shrimp that definitely brought the heat but was so good. And let me tell you about the Oyster's Rockefeller!!!!! THEE MOST AMAZING Oyster's Rockefeller I have ever had! At the end of the night the restaurant made it super special for us because I had made them aware that we were celebrating and they brought out a Roman Candle cheesecake! YUMMMMMM! Thank you Tom's Oyster Bar for a 10 out of 10 night! I give it a 5 star.”

“Even at night, the patio is beautiful. The heaters were on and the drinks were delicious, I had the Bellagio almond sour and it's my new favorite drink, the whole table ordered a round after trying it.
I had the BLT and that is the most high end flavors I have the pleasure of enjoying. The bacon is thick cut and the fries had some kind of Parmesan cheese that was a huge hit.
Our server was hilarious, we enjoyed the friendly banter and candor.”
“My husband and I took our two grandsons for breakfast. The food was fine but our server Maria was exceptional. She was attentive, friendly and professional. Maria is a gem!
Dietary restrictions: We had an egg allergy in our group and there were very limited options but that’s true wherever we go so not an exclusive issue to this restaurant.”
“I have been going to Olga's for more than 20 years in downtown Birmingham, Troy at Oakland Mall, and now usually in Royal Oak. For years the spiral cut French fries have been my favorite fries at any fast casual chain. Yesterday I was at Royal Oak and the fries have changed for the worse. There is a new batter style and they were too salty. Please bring back the old fries!!!”
“Our favorite restaurant when we come to Royal Oak! Great food without breaking the bank for a date night.”
