It’s such an amazing spot for a private, intimate event—we had around 50 guests, and the space was perfect. “At a recent family birthday celebration, I needed appetizers at the last minute. I went to the right people for help! It was no problem for Kal and Ann! They cheerfully made fresh batches of delicious hummus (two varieties) which came with chips and pita bread. I served that, along with two kinds of their fabulous soup, to my dinner guests. Everyone complimented the delicious food Kal and Ann prepared. If you haven’t tried KAL’s Lunch Bowl, located in the Royal Oak Farmers Market yet, I recommend it. “I love these meals! I am a member of Body By Brittany, and she sells these in her studio, and I am obsessed! When they’re stocked on Tuesdays, it’s a mad rush to the fridge for the mac n cheese buffalo chicken! 😂 The mac n cheese buffalo chicken, steak fajitas, and korean meatballs are my favorite! Highly recommend!!“

We got here 3:15 on a Thursday, totally chill, parked right out front.
Great spot for half day hookie. Nooner or sooner. ))
We had: bloody mary's, the burger is excellant, salmon dip is very tasty, the fried pickles are spears & lightly breaded. Moving on to the spicy margarita & ranch water.
The patio seating in the afternoon is shaded by the building.

“Came in on an evening they had live music and that was delightful. Iced matcha and cappuccino were quite nice and I was thrilled they offered a gluten free oreo cheesecake. The barista was very kind and looked up the ingredients for me due to my many allergy concerns. Very pleasant experience.“

Why not stop in at Royal Oak Roast? It’s a comfy place with great people watching. The coffee is wonderful and refills are a dollar. So many different coffee choices in all styles, including espresso over over Weiss vanilla ice cream!!! The kitchen, yes I said kitchen has scrumptious food that is presented beautifully with the seasonal selections. All this sound good? Well that’s not even the best part. It’s the staff. It’s a varied collection of kind, hard working people that make you feel welcomed and are always working hard to get your order out to you. 1) Amazing food; have not had a bad dish yet. Steak and eggs and short rib Mac n cheese are two highlights.

2) horribly inept service. It’s been like this for years across different groups of waitstaff. So, it’s a management/ownership issue.

Had the spinach and artichoke dip, mozzarella bruschetta, and two vey reasonably priced cocktails. The live music was the PERFECT volume. We could hear the music and still hold a conversation at a normal level. Jillian was friendly and attentive, and the food was amazing; just what we needed on a Saturday night. If I lived in the immediate area, I would be here all the time. Oak City Grill is my new favorite spot in Royal Oak.“

“I always have a great experience at any smoothie king. However, this particular visit was the best one I’ve had and that says a lot. The young woman working the drive thru, sat there a good 5 minutes helping me figure out what to get and figure out exactly what I was looking for. When I thought J was taking to long at the window and tried to rush to pay, she stopped me and insisted I get the app out so I could get the pints. The other woman working with her then showed me the sizes as I explained I hadn’t been to Smoothie King in a while and wanted me to know the sizes so I know for next time. “I like coming to this particular location, and the parking is better than the Woodward and 13 mile location. The reason why I took a star off was they were rather picked over on day I shot the video of the entrees. Too many empty spaces, and it's not the first time either.
