“My sister and I were running late for the airport, we totally forgot to factor in Detroit pizza takes like 30 minutes. But we couldn't leave Detroit without trying it! The M&T gentleman at the front was kind enough to offer us a soon to be ready cheese pizza! It was either cheese or pepperoni which was perfect because I love a nice and simple cheese pizza. We just needed a quick snack, a girl lunch so we asked for one slice, split in half. I dropped tomato sauce all over my pants biting into it...it was worth it. It’s such an amazing spot for a private, intimate event—we had around 50 guests, and the space was perfect. “If you haven’t been to The Fly Trap in Ferndale, you are seriously missing out.

I’ve been coming here for close to 20 years, and somehow they just keep hitting the mark. From the homemade jam to the perfect muffins, the food is consistently excellent.

The service may not always be perfectly polished, but honestly, that’s part of what I love about this place. It feels personal. They care about you, they remember people, and there’s something genuinely warm about being there.

Twenty years later, I’m still coming back. That probably says more than anything else could.

“Took my daughter and her friends for a sweet treat here on her birthday and we LOVED everything about it. The dipped ice cream bars were ahhhmazing. We tried 3 different flavors and all were a hit. “Good food, nice staff. I carried out and ordered the nachos, once. The beans and cheese were missing from the order, which was inconvenient but stuff happens. I didn't realize it till I got home. The staff took care of it and were professional and courteous. They made me a new batch and gave me extra sides for the order I took originally. So I ended up with 2 orders. They were both delicious! “Had a good experience at Sedona Taphouse in Troy. Our server was nice, although it took a little while to get our order in and for someone to check back with us. I ordered the Caribbean Crab Sandwich. It was tasty, but a little small for $18, so I was hoping for a bit more value for the price. The restaurant was also pretty noisy. The Cactus Lemonade was delicious, though—that was definitely a highlight! Parking is free, which was nice, even though I had to park toward the back. Overall, I enjoyed my visit and would give it 4 stars.“
