“We dined here prior to seeing a show at the Fisher. From the minute we walked in we were so Impressed. The staff at the door were super friendly and took us directly to our seats. The waitstaff was extremely attentive, and the food was amazing. We cannot wait to go back. We highly recommend!”

“Tried this place for the first time today! Rider was my server and he was absolutely amazing. Knowledgeable funny and sweet. Genuinely had such a good time just being in his presence and he was very attentive! Tried the flaming fig, although without the jam. Didn't personally find it too spicy without the jam, although my friend found it slightly spicy with the jam. Either way it was the most delicious grilled cheese ever. Great wine selection, and don't be afraid to try the espresso drink made with blood orange soda, it was very good! On the store side of things, there was a great selection of product and the service was great. Will definitely tell as many people as possible about this place and will come again!”

“If you're in Detroit and you're a foodie like I am, Vecino is not to be missed. This was truly one of the best experiences I've had a restaurant from top to the bottom! The ambiance, the music was fantastic, the food was soo flavorful and just sublime, and Molly the bartender just killed it! Molly was fantastic, she was super genuine and friendly, attentive, and she even gave me a recommendation for a cool wine bar the next night. Highly highly recommend Vecino its fantastic!”

“We had an excellent time at Bar Pigelle. Our waitress, Jaina, was wonderful! My partner has a sensitivity to cured meats and she made sure the prosciutto on the grilled peaches was on the side to accommodate him. The food was excellent and its arrival timed perfectly. The free parking lot across the street was also a great offering as parking nearby can get full quick. We got the grilled peaches, the smashburger, the steak frites, and chocolate mousse. I’d recommend splitting the steak frites (it’s a 14 oz!) and getting some additional small plates/appetizers to compliment/round out the meal. Their mocktails are also fantastic. We are looking forward to coming back soon!”

“Have been going her for at least 40 years if not longer. The food is absolutely wonderful. The ambience inside the restaurant is very comfortable and most relaxing. The only bad thing is they have not fixed the men's bathroom in over a year, maybe longer. We women do not enjoy sharing a bathroom with men who pea on the floor and also on the toilet seat. We want our bathroom back!”

“Food was good and service was acceptable (nothing special) but you had a group of 5 guys leave your restaurant last night somewhat bewildered after your waitress Katarina made it quite clear she was not happy with the 20% tip we gave her. Apparently, our stay of about 3 hours eating and drinking was excessive. We may not be back.”

“Two nights ago , my wife and I dined at Al Shallal, a Lebanese family owned and operated restaurant. We were warmly greeted by hostess/server Nourhan and offered menus. My wife ordered an absolutely delicious falafel plate that was accompanied by a marvelous tahini sauce and rice. I chose the perfectly spiced and prepared mixed grill (beef kabob, chicken tawook and beef kafta served with a pungent garlic sauce and rice. Our order included, as a prelude, a choice of salad or soup. We opted for the homemade (all items we ordered were made from scratch) chicken lemon soup: shredded chicken, and rice in a deeply flavorful lemony chicken broth (yum). Our servings were generously portioned and absolutely scrumptious. Following the meal, we ordered homemade, once again, baklava and a small pot of a cardamom infused Lebanese coffee. Food heaven. Nourhan was an absolutely wonderful server (daughter of the owners who were the chefs). We have dined at many Lebanese, Iraqi and Iranian restaurants. Al Shallal, in Dearborn Heights , Michigan ranks at the very top for quality, price, taste, presentation, authenticity and service. Thank you Nourhan and family.”

“Delicious vegan Detroit style pizza! The place was small so it might be a wait. They had outdoor seating as well but it was 100 degrees so we were lucky to snag a table inside. The only soda they serve is Faygo, a local Detroit soda, which is super cool. They don’t have alcohol. Would definitely visit again! Updated from previous review on 2026-07-31”
