Bell Bistro is Birmingham‘s hidden gem! I don’t know where they found the chef but they are amazing! Everything we ordered from the drinks to the dessert were well above expectation. In addition, the staff could not be more accommodating. Kudos to Dorina who treated us like family. I would highly recommend this place for a wonderful dinner, gathering place for friends, they even have room to accommodate special events! I will be back again to try more things from their amazing menu!!!

From start to finish, our experience at Bell Bistro was nothing short of exceptional. The atmosphere was elegant and inviting, and the staff made us feel genuinely welcome with their friendly and attentive service.
🍹 Drinks & Appetizers We kicked things off with refreshing drinks that arrived promptly. For appetizers, we shared the wagyu meatball, hot honey chicken, and golden chili crisp shrimp. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared: - The wagyu meatball was savory and tender—not overly dense like traditional meatballs. - The hot honey chicken stole the show for me. I could’ve easily devoured three orders! - The shrimp was perfectly crispy and a crowd favorite at our table.
These shareable bites were both delectable and satisfying.
🍽️ Entrees I ordered the Faroe Island salmon, served with marble potatoes, Brussels sprouts, butternut squash, and microgreens. Cooked medium-well, the salmon was seasoned beautifully and paired wonderfully with the vibrant vegetables. We also tried the chef’s special salmon cakes and a side of fresh-cut fries. The cakes were hearty and flavorful, and the fries tasted just as fresh as they looked.
🥧 Dessert To finish, we shared a fried donut reminiscent of a beignet, dusted with powdered sugar and served with a blueberry compote. Warm and crisp on the outside, soft on the inside—this dessert was a delightful finale. The blueberry compote added just the right touch of sweetness without overpowering the dish.
💬 Final Thoughts While the entrée portions could have been slightly larger for the price, the overall experience was outstanding. Bell Bistro offers a refined culinary journey that’s worth savoring. I’ll definitely be returning for another round of flavor-packed dishes and warm hospitality.

We bought both burgers on the menu and split them to try both of them out. Not even close to the best burger in town … Hazels is a seafood 🦞 place and their smash burger blows either of these away. And they are absolutely not worth $26- $27 bucks … I’ll go back and try something else but if I’m looking for a good burger I wouldn’t weight on it here and definitely not for the price.

We finally got to Bell Bistro! We wanted to try it, but dithered for months, and were super delighted to find our dear friend Suela, a master of making you feel like you're at home, there. Wonderful salads, apps, and the best burger in town by a literal mile. Hard pressed to find a better burger in all of Detroit area, honestly. Bartender Zach is super friendly and makes great drinks (highly recommend the spicy Verdita). Atmosphere is both buzzy and casual...all around great place. A+++

Absolutely recommend Bella bistro in downtown Birmingham! While the restaurant seems small on the main floor, the outdoor patio was fantastic for a Friday night. The burger was hands-down one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. The Caesar salad was super fresh and delicious and the dessert was 🔥 . Service was attentive and prompt and the waitress we had was really sweet! We will be back again to try the rest of the menu.
