Apparently they have been bought by Johnny Blacks, and it doesn't seem to be for the better. I really enjoyed my experience here last time. This time, my French onion was overly salty and the crab cakes were very subpar. No lumps of crab just very shredded and I did not like the filler they used- almost looked/tasted like quinoa? I sent them back. It was ok but I don't know if I'd go back.
Service outstanding, server came back every so often, but not an annoying amount. Everyone ordered different items. They all came hot and very tasty. The couple we went with had never been to Bistro Joe's, but said that they would add it to their list of go to restaurants.
The food is very good. It was nice that the chef came by our table to give us suggestions. Our server was also the bartender and the service was poor. We had to ask other servers several times to get her attention.
