Not sure if ownership changed, but prices are up ($5.50 per slice), and quality appears lower. Have been coming here weekly for years and last 3 visits have been same experience. Cheese is greasier, less toppings. Seems like a business change was made and the product isn't the same. Might try again in a few months.

We thought we would give it another chance. Three strikes you are out. Walked in and bartender was sitting bar and had to ask if there was a bartender. I ask to add sausage on specialty pizza and was charged $2.50 for barely visible sausage. I ask for the parmesan cheese to sprinkle (it used to be complementary) but when bill came I found a $2.00 charge. Draft Alaskan Amber $8.75. It used to be my go to place. The bartender said there is nothing she can do about charges. She could have told be ahead of time that changed policy for the cheese. Just lost a regular customer.

Pizza is absolutely great and the owners are very kind people who put their heart into the business. All the different pizza options are delicious. I’ve had darn near everything from here and it always hits the spot.

Really good pizza if you are looking for authentic New York style. They nailed the sauce perfectly. I’d like to see the crust less floppy. Overall it’s extremely good.

Fine pizza. Fine pricing.
A little over $5 for a slice. Taste is good. Cooked well. Not too crispy; not too chewy.

Amazing New York style folding pizza. Not too greasy. Flavorful and delicious. Full case full of flavors. Reheat slices in the wood burning oven. It’s a Birmingham staple.

Since the change in ownership, this place has become nothing more than a cash grab. The food ordering process has been completely overhauled, they now charge for every small extra, and the space feels cluttered with all the added junk. I used to visit weekly, sometimes bringing my kids, but I won’t be returning again. Single handedly ruining one of Birmingham’s gems

The pizza is amazing. I mean, this is Michigan not New York not Italy so it’s actually very good for being Michigan service could’ve been better, but it was still amazing and the atmosphere was just a vibe. It was so chill. The music was good. The art on the walls were amazing. I love that place.

At the casier we were told that our pizza order would be ready within 25 minutes. After 40 minutes I was lied to that our pizza is the next in the oven. After another 10 minutes it turned out that they did’t even start our pizza. We couldn’t wait any longer so I left my order there and got 2 slices of pizza instead. We were very disappointed and we still missed 15 minutes of our son’s waterpolo game.

This place is amazing! My niece wanted chocolate ice cream and they didn’t have any in the case at the moment. The owner came out personally, went to the back, and brought out an entire tub of chocolate just to scoop it fresh for her. That level of kindness and service is unmatched. The ice cream is delicious, the staff is wonderful, and they truly go above and beyond for their customers. Hands down the best pizza and ice cream with the BEST customer service!

TERRIBLE PIZZA, WHAT A SHAME! Brooklyn Pizza was my go-to pizza place in the past and I would recommend them to everyone. I'm not sure if the ownership or management has changed but the pizza ingredients certainly have, and for the worst! It doesn't taste anything like it used to! The dough is soggy and boring. The cheese was way too salty and wasn't completely melted which tells me it is a cheap substitute from what they used to use. Even the sauce was different. It was extra greasy which contributed to the soggy crust. In the past, that crust stayed crispy no matter how much grease touched it! The bottom of the crust was absolutely burnt and it tasted awful. Of course the prices have skyrocketed....$24 for a large pepperoni?? It used to be either $16 or $18. Overall, it tasted like a Chef Boyardee or Red Baron frozen pizza. Unbelievably disappointing. Bye Brooklyn, it was nice knowing you.
