California Roll Sushi & Hibachi Takeaway

me and my boyfriend stopped in to try this place today. we were originally going to go to jersey mike’s next door but it caught our eye. the place is small but the owner was super attentive and had a nice conversation with us while we waited for our food. they have a wide selection of japanese/korean dishes like sushi, ramen, hibachi and bulgogi. we ordered the crab rangoons, firecracker sushi, spicy chicken ramen and chicken hibachi. the service and food was a 10. we will be back and encourage everyone to try it out!

Guy that works there needs to learn some sanitary habits. He was coughing and rubbing his nose, then touching orders, knives and towels.

Edit in Dec ‘24: At some point they started skimping on the food while keeping raising the price. Bulgogi poke bowl used to have big chunks of meat. Now it’s just minced meat. Miso soup is ridiculously little. Super small bowl and hardly half filled. Little disappointed because I used to like their food! It still tastes ok but just no longer good value

It’s 1 of those places we always drive by & I finally decided to stop in—plus, I love the cute name of this place! Here’s how it went:

-Size: It’s a small spot, strictly for carryout. There’s 1 booth, but it only fits a couple of people.

-Food: The sushi is great! I planned to take pictures but ended up scarfing it down.😳 The Philadelphia rolls & Sunday Morning rolls were excellent.

-Crab Rangoon: A little oily but still tasty.

-Udon Soup: It was just okay.

They have an extensive menu with lots to choose from & the prices are reasonable. I also had a nice chat with the owner who was super friendly & talkative.

I’d recommend this spot for carryout or catering a big party! 🍣 🍱

I saw them on uber, so I decided to try a new restaurant. It was very low quality.I won't be ordering it again. The rice was mushy and tasted gummy. The miso soup was minimal and had like 2 pieces of tofu and seaweed. Also, the spring rolls were tiny and not very good. The sushi didn't even come with wasabi. I was subpar but the service was nice when I picked up my order.

We catered some Poke bowls here for lunch and the food was absolutely delicious. High quality ingredients and really friendly staff as well- we got to chat with the owner a bit!

Definitely looking forward to dining in and trying more food soon.

Dirving by on our weekend car ride, I noticed this restaurant, so I stopped in. The best decision I have ever made, the food is amazing. There are so many sushi options to choose from, and the Ramen is delicious ?. If you're looking for a great sushi and Ramen option this is the place. They have an app you can download, or they are available on doordash, grubhub, and Uber eats. The owner was sweet to me and he gave me so much Japanese history, just stop in and talk with him he would love it. I had the shrimp Ramen ? and a shrimp tempura California roll ?

First time customer and let me just say that this was the best Korean food I have ever had! Everything was fresh, the meat was juicy and tender, the spicy california roles were fresh, the fried hibachi puts Benihana rice to shame, like their food is incredible! You have a new repeat customer. Thank you ?

The sushi wasn't bad, but it also wasn't great. Due to the costs of food this is just not a place I would go back to. Again, its was not bad, just not good enough to justify the costs with inflation these days. I ordered 3 different rolls with 3 different fish and it all just kind of tasted the same. I was surprised they didn't have ponzu sauce and the spicy mayo was alright. Not the best, but not the worst.I ordered online to pick up so the service was fine. It was ready when I got there.As far as the atmosphere, it was okay too. Its a carry-out place so there wasn't much to be expected.
