Service great, ambiance uncomfortable, pâtisserie stale with too much sugar for taste. Visual best.

The quality of the croissants has gone down. I’m so disappointed I’ve been a client for 10 years plus the prices are ridiculous for the quality.

I haven’t been to this bakery in years, and I noticed that it seems to have adopted a more corporate style compared to its previous, more personal atmosphere. It’s still nice, but I don’t feel the same sense of attachment to this place as I did before. So sad. Also, quite pricey, a smoked salmon sandwich cost $17.

Remodeled again, and it isn't as good as it was. Each remodel here brings a worse experience. A lot more product on display, and LESS seating for anyone. Half the seating is still before the display counters, the other half is with 3 feet of the display counters or the now moved registers (to end of space). Very good pastries and such, very poor ability to plan an eating space. If you want to sit and eat, go elsewhere.

This is for the location at the Royal Oak Farmers Markets. Please let me know if I should move this but currently I don't see a listing for that one Had 3 different pastries, all were average to below average. They looked beautiful enough, instagram worthy, but as soon as I touched and bit into them, I could tell they were not made that day. Time had eroded the flakes of the black and blueberry into a soggy cold lump. The cinnamon roll was dry. Shame because I wanted to like them and I wanted my mouth and stomach to appreciate what my eyes did. I could see the potential. Sad I wasted that much money (~$7 each!) only to leave me wanting for a better pastry. The ham and cheese was the only acceptable one of the bunch. Maybe they were meant to be brought home to be reheated? If that's the case I should have been forewarned

We ordered one of their Christmas logs at the holidays and the lemon curd, lightness of the cake & stunning decorations really impressed our guests. For a special brunch we tried an array of pastries & chocolate croissants. Of course we shared all! A little bit of Paris in Michigan

The pastries are fantastic but the coffee could use some more work. It's a bit on the pricey side but worth it for a splurge.

Love Cannelle\Matt -- it's taken 15 years but we finally have a bakery we can count on to deliver first rate pastries every time we order from Cannelle. Let me say 2 words The Rudolph - OMG it shot right to the top as my favorite pastry. And make sure you try one of their sandwiches the smoked salmon and the ham & cheese are two of my favorites.

Delicious high-end cakes and pastry. The best I have had in metro Detroit in the past few years. Try the almond croissants - outstanding!

Cannelle's is amazing. The croissants, tarts and cakes are off the charts and they are huge. I had two and didn't eat again until dinner. I had the Chocolate Raspberry, Apple, Raspberry, Almond & Brie Cheese and a hot chocolate. While the croissants were amazing (I like the Almond, raspberry brie the most) the hot chocolate was not good. It tastes like watered down swiss-miss, but look, don't let the hot chocolate dissuade you from coming here. It's a real gem.Parking: The parking is a mess. This place is so popular that while it shouldn't be hard to get a spot, you might have to go around once and wait for someone to come out. The turnover is pretty good. People park, get their order and are out in about 10 mins.
