Kaku has the best spicy tuna. I’m not from the area anymore but every time I’m home this place is a must.

Consistently gave this place 5 stars and have been a patron since they opened. My issue with this place is how stingy the owner is with the ingredients. Cheap to the point that he pointed out 3 sauces was “alot” of sauces. I dont mind paying extra for anything but absolutely hate penny pinchers. Would suggest supporting other local establishments, poke poke in southfield is great and family owned

I had the customizable poke bowl. I asked for a recommendation on sauces from the young man who prepared the fish and it was delicious. He mixed a few different sauces and it was so good. I’m from Hawaii and have also lived in Japan for several years. I’ve eaten a lot of poke bowls on the mainland and this is easily one of the best poke bowls I’ve had outside of Hawaii. The fish tasted fresh and I love that they use vinegar sushi rice in the bowl instead of plain rice.

What a delectable experience! The poke bowls were outstanding. You get more for what you paid for. Definitely the best poke bowl I’ve tasted. Highly recommend.

Great friendly service! But portion sizes are smaller than typical poke places and the food flavor itself was underwhelming.

They have Poke bowls and sushi with vegan options too! You can go bland to spicey with the different sauce options. i shared my large ooke bowl with my daughter, and it was a perfect size for sharing. they had some good rolls but were out of when we visited. Professional staff, clean food prep, and dine in area-can't wait to go back.

A female worker with beanie lacked customer service I overheard her cursing in the back while she was getting me an avocado for my bowl. Found nails to be uncleanly Sushi was good though.

Poke bowls are amazing! Much respect to the staff getting work done while being short staffed and still paying attention to detail

Service was alright. The portions have gotten smaller over time with almost everything becoming an extra add on, avocado i understand but pineapple is unheard of. I understand price increases due to inflation but portions and making a lot of topping extra is not the solution. Don't get me wrong food was exceptional it’s just disappointing knowing that this place used to be much better.(Also please go back to your original tofu the one you currently use is too squishy and wet.)

High quality and fresh. Excellent place to grab a quick bite to eat. Highly recommend.

Last time going to Kaku unfortunately. This is a great poke place; however, so much has changed (I have been going to both locations since they opened). First, prices increased and ingredients were removed from the menu but I continued to order weekly from them. Now, prices have continuously increased and they are giving smaller portions. For example, the large bowl used to be 4 scoops of fish, now it is 3 (for the same, increased price). Every additional topping (avocado, seaweed salad, etc.) has increased as well. Pineapple used to be included in the set bowl price, but now it is an additional price. It is just absolutely not worth going here anymore knowing how it used to be.I have also had issues of being overcharged for toppings. I purchased the seaweed salad to be on my bowl, but I have been charged for a whole side ($1.50 vs $3.50). It is the little things like this that are the reason I will no longer be returning.Wish things did not change this much, but it is what it is.

Wonderful. All they need now is a small beer/wine selection !
