My original post was intended for the store at Maple and Lasher...not this one. This one is fine but the Bloomfield Hills store at Maple and Lasher is awful and so poorly managed....avoid it.

I will never shop at Kroger the worst customer service ever If you want to get treated like a criminal at the Customer Service window then you shop at Kroger otherwise the worst experience I took two bottles receipt one for 50 Cent and one for $.70 and she cant scan it because the machine brought it out crumbled without the barcode and she threw me out the Birmingham store Bill Bahoira 248-910-1206

This place used to be one of the best Kroger you could find within Oakland County, that was when they still employed the local school kids to work. They actually did the jobs they were paid for, and did them right without getting confused like they were being asked to launch rockets for Nasa. Now thanks to hiring quotas, businesses are forced to hire the lowest common denominator. This of course has resulted in the local kids being pushed out and denied employment to make way for a bunch of lazy, entitled, uncultured do nothings who take the bus from further south down Woodward, to begin. This store never needed cockroach and rat traps indoors before these hiring practices were put in place. It also always had properly stocked shelves, but now the only things they make sure to have are chicken tenders, cheap BBQ sauce, cheap spices by the pound and various forms of junk food ( only the most heavily commercialized and long marketed, such as hot cheetos and pork rinds ). They don't even keep all of the regular kool-aid flavors in stock, but grape is always there for some odd reason. The store is absolutely filthy all around. It appears as though surfaces haven't been cleaned in a decade, and it there is an incredibly unpleasant stench that fills the entire store. This sort of environment is clearly exactly like the places these employees are housed in. Just the way they like it. These people try their best to avoid doing their jobs, and instead tend to stand around ;*chatting ( for some reason they do this at the highest of volumes, literally yelling to each other during regular conversation ) and regularly spewing vulgarities as if they're on their day off chilling in front of the corner liquor store while having their 12 noon wake up 40s and reminiscing about the latest obese women they macked on. Another wholly expected aspect of shopping here, the do nothing employees are too lazy to ever bring shopping carts inside before they start getting ready to close ( which they do early, of course ), so once they've all been used they remain outside. Of course Birmingham residents and the like tend to return them to the cart corrals but the likes of say, family members of these do nothings and their friends can't be bothered to walk another 5 feet, expectedly ( same people who always try to park right on top of the gas station door, blocking multiple pumps and the handicap ramp so they don't have to walk 4 extra feet ). Of course no matter how many times you report the endless issues ( nor who you report them to ), they go unchanged and are ever worsening. This is of course thanks to the management also being the same sort of uncultured, uneducated and lazy do-nothings as the regular employees and corporate wouldn't DARE ever confront such people about the endless problems they cause as they would just end up in the middle of frivolous lawsuits that they would have to settle to avoid the usual suspects using the topic as their latest tool to feign outrage as a means of signaling virtue they don't actually possess. Until businesses stop pretending like these quotas requiring them to hire societys lowest common denominator aren't keeping them in the red every single quarter, they will continue on their downhill trends. It will happen soon enough. The vast majority of people are years and years beyond fed up with the problems caused by these entitled, uncultured, uneducated, greedy do-nothings that have been enabled in their disgusting traits as a trade for their blind support.

Thinking they are surviving on location. Wasn't too impressed. Staff I dealt with was friendly.out of quite a few items. Looks like a huge wine selection, but really not that much. The deli has done away with Kroger, private selection brand- overpriced boars head or nothing. If you try to return cart to the proper area in parking lot - probably will give your fit bit a workout.

I don't know what has happened to this location, but it has gone downhill. The staff is unfriendly (when you can find one). Good luck finding someone at the meat or deli counters - and if an employee sees you standing there all alone - they will walk right by you. Today, while I was checking out the cashier and the bagging person continued their conversation and never once greeted me, asked me a question, or said anything as I was leaving. As for the produce - it is never fresh or in large quantities. I have been going to this store forever and after today, I'm not returning. Get it together Kroger!!

I have shopped in grocery stores all over the world but none compare to the Kroger in Birmingham. First off, they never have what you need. Third world country s**** Second, the staff is straight up bizarre. Third, store management is the ring leader of the staff. Poor lady. Fourth, shop at meijer. Fifth shop at meijer. Sixth shut down this store. I would rather shop at speedway that this Kroger.

The cashiers are lazy, food is misplaced around the store and they have little product. Deli counter closes early too

I've shopped this Kroger intermittently for years, and every time I visit, I vow I'll never return. Why? Largely because of the rude staff. Most of the people who work here have a thug-like, in-your-face mentality. They'd sooner mow you down than show even an iota of courtesy. (Don't get me started on the dumpy, grumpy late-middle-age check-out woman who resembles Broomhilda from the comics.) As for the selection, the produce section is sorely lacking and I can all but guarantee you won't find what you're looking for in the organic produce section. My advice? Drive a mile or so east on Maple and visit the Kroger in the shopping center at Coolidge and Maple. It used to be a Farmer Jack. The staffers are warm, friendly and helpful, and you won't feel insulted and abused as you shop. This store isn't as well-stocked as it was before the pandemic began, but even so, it offers a far superior shopping experience to the laughable disaster at Maple and Woodward.

The staff at this Kroger on Maple Rd. is uncommunicative, slow and sloppy. They do not answer questions, and instead just keep walking without even looking at you. The checkout lady never greeted me. They take up the whole aisle when stocking the shelf and make you walk around them. The staff walks the wrong way down aisles clearly marked as one-way. The staff yells at each other across the store. I don't know what the guys are doing at the Starbucks counter but his pants were falling so far down his body I saw his crack. Disgusting. I got my coffee, but threw it out because I did not trust this dude to make anything I would eat. The staff is dirty, slow and lazy. Grose.

The staff is awesome! Nancy was very kind and helpful. My son loved his red velvet cake. Yummy! Thank you for a great experience.

The customer service station is a time vampire that drains your time and the will to live. The genius from corporate that can up with this idea of redeeming bottle returns, paying every household bill you could possibly own, and gambling needs to be fired. Stood in line for 20 mins Whole a customer paid two bills, clearly the system is not optimally setup to process this function. I felt like I went back in time to witness dialup in real life. Oh he also took another 5 mins to play the lotto.

Worst Kroger around. It's lunch time and no fried chicken 2 employees just standing behind the counter doing nothing!

I don't know if it's a location, but I don't love parking here, in the front or back. I don't feel the layout of the store is ideal. I get that they want to have a large grocery store option for Birmingham and Bloomfield Hills residence. But if I lived in Birmingham, I would definitely be driving to the Kroger in Royal Oak or anywhere else. They have the same products as any other Kroger, it's just the location that is an ideal here and makes we feel bothered if I ever have to come to this location. I do end up here, when I visit my friends in Birmingham, for any parties or dinners together. That is of course if I forget to buy ingredients before hand and on my way to Birmingham. I will always try to go to another Kroger location before coming to this one.

Sorry ~ so disappointing that this Kroger store has turned from a remodel flagship store to a mess. Carts all over parking lot. Filthy entry carpet. Store smells. Fresh produce is sub par. Cashiers scarce during peak hours - poor management. Plenty of competition in area - Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, Papa Joes, Meijer. I only shop here when absolutely necessary.

This Kroger location near downtown Birmingham is not my regular Kroger, but I have stopped in occasionally when returning home from that direction. It carries the usual selections and brands found in other Kroger locations. Access is a bit different because the store fronts on Maple and on Woodward with limited parking available there. But it does have a decent-sized private lot in the back of the store not visible from the front. Of course, once you know this, it's not a big deal. Staff have generally been helpful whenever I did stop here and asked for help. I guess the biggest drawback for me is that it is in a very congested area and at certain times of the day it can be a little tricky to get to the parking in the back of the store and find a parking spot.
