The food was excellent. I had the grouper (fish of the day) and it was one of the best fish entrees I have had.

Restaurant was beautiful and much larger than expected! Food was delicious! The owner and staff were wonderful and helped celebrate my birthday with a special dessert. Everyone in my group really enjoyed their food! Definitely recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a dinner out in Birmingham!

Food was good but nothing extraordinary. Small portions and expensive. Excellent service. We had a 6:15 reservation. We didn't order dessert and felt pressured to leave by 7:20.

Place is neat, service is ok. Options listed on the menu not available. Food good . Cheese offer and quality great. Prosciutto great. Olives not worth the bother . Pizza great. Pasta great. Risotto needs work in both texture and flavor. Missed marks on both. Extensive wine list with Italian selection too extensive compared with other options. Atmosphere pleasant, only the locale becomes very loud once more patrons start showing up. Would I still recommend it? Yes, the positives outweigh the few things that could be better. Although risotto must be perfection. Other wise better not offer it.

Food & service were just okay. The food could’ve used more seasoning, and the service could’ve been more consistent. Basically had to ask our bill to be taken 3 times, and our server never checked on our after we got our meal when we both needed stuff. It also was incredibly expensive for the quality of food, an additional $15 for grilled chicken that hardly comes seasoned is kinda crazy. The bread also was very stale upon arrival. The restaurant it self is very nice and incredibly clean, an open concept kitchen is always so fun to see. The area it’s in is also super nice too! They just seemed to care more about the look and atmosphere of the restaurant then the actual quality of the food

As Vegetarians, I really appreciated how they went above and beyond to include our needs by changing the kind of pasta in our item (as we didn't like Gnocchi). Eggplant was fantastic. Definitely coming back.

Awesome, genuinely the best Italian food in Michigan. Not sure why people are complaining about the wait time, it was pretty fast. If things are made from scratch its a good thing that it's made with love!

Another very nice dining experience. Had the Veal Milanese which was absolutely superb. Very difficult to cook this dish to be juicy and succulent given the thin pounding of the meat, but the chef accomplished it. Service from Matthew was outstanding - a new addition to the team who brings vast experience, and he's a great add to the restaurant. Will certainly return again soon.

An enjoyable dinner at La Strada. Food was very good and service attentive. They have raised their prices quite a lot - a typical pasta is now $40 so no margin for error here - execution has to be flawless. It has to be considered a high end place to eat vs being an accessible neighborhood option. That puts it in a more competitive class esp when taking into account the strong competition in Detroit.

We sat outside and it was lovely.
Food was high priced and the portion sizes were inconsistent among the various dishes. Pasta bolognese was delicious and a generous portion. The strozzapreti dish was extremely small size. Lasagna was a decent size but very dry and needed more sauce.
I ordered the appetizer special of the day. When the server brought our appetizers to the table, he informed me that they were out of what I ordered and that he took it upon himself to substitute for something similar. I would have preferred to have had a chance to substitute with my second choice rather than have him make that decision for me

We were seated around 8 PM but didn’t receive our food until 9:30, which felt like a long wait. While our waiter was professional and courteous, we couldn’t help but feel overlooked during the wait. Additionally, our table by the bar started in a calm atmosphere, but it quickly became loud and overcrowded as more patrons arrived. People were standing with drinks and frequently backed into our table, disrupting our dining experience.
