Extremely slow staff with terrible customer service.

I went to this Panera Bread location in Royal Oak Michigan for the first time, because I was in a hurry.

I ordered an egg sausage on Croissant bread, and an orange juice. I sat waiting for my food when a lady came to the counter, and called my name to get my bag of food.

There was no ticket receipt on the bag, which puzzled me at first, but I didn’t alarm the situation, because there wasn’t anyone ahead of me. Assuming this was my order, because I was told it was. I later walked out .

When I got to the car I noticed I had the wrong order so, I returned to the restaurant counter, and noticed when I walked in there was another bag sitting on the counter and the young man who had just finished cooking my meal called my name again.

I asked the lady “what was the mix up”.
She immediately became defensive not admitting it was her originally that told me the tuna sandwich was my order.

The problem I have is just that quick she lied leaving me speechless, which sent red flags 🚩

I will never go back to this location, because if she can lie about a food order I wonder what will happen if she’s cooking my food.

My advice to the staff would be to slow down
when handling customers food orders.

In the meantime:
I WILL STICK TO THE TROY LOCATION, BECAUSE THEY CARE. ❤️

Stopped in to grab a coffee. Of course there is no coffee in the container. Go up to the widow to ask for some coffee and was told I would have to wait 6 minutes to bree a new pot. The entire time waiting for them to make it. None of the actual employees are making fresh coffee. This is ridiculous. The service here is terrible

Went to buy take out for a friend. They expect you to order by on site computer. But I was waited on before customer using it. 3 croissants and 3 cookies cost just over $22. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I won't be back!!

They are loud unprofessional I seen a worker Curse in front of Customers and they take forever to make a meal Don’t order from here bad customer service and nobody was at Cashier to help with my order what a joke seriously !!!

Was there for lunch yesterday and was greeted by one of the friendliest smiles by the woman named Tracy at the front counter. It was a very busy lunchtime and Tracy was super at multitasking and still kept an upbeat and friendly disposition. I will be back to this location because of her.

On this day I was wanting something that would be delicious and fill the sadness in my heart. Food is my therapy. I love your soups and salads, especially the summer favorite, Strawberry Poppy seed chicken salad. Normally my salads at various Paneras are good. This salad today was PERFECT AND EXCEPTIONALLY made! Kalay went above and beyond! It was a true piece of food art, a masterpiece! Which is to say this salad should be featured in your adds and commercials. We don't always get what is depicted in the media. I personally feel I got the GOLD STAR of salads today. THANK YOU KALAY for not only making a BEAUTIFUL salad but for making my day brighter!

Great food, but waited 5 minutes before someone came to take orders. It seemed like an eternity for my order to complete, the men's room was filthy and no hand towels. Panera used to be much better. From now on I'll use the app or the kiosk.

Just ordered with coworkers lunch, three people total. Ordered the new ham and cheese on croissant bread, Croquet Monsieur. No ham on it!! Rechecked the order and it should have had ham on it.... Crazy bummer ... 😒

I made a to go order of soup and salad and rather than wrap the bread that came with both orders, it was just dropped in bag unwrapped. This doesn’t seem very sanitary or appetizing. Won’t go back to this place

Their avocado toast is a joke. Avocado is layered so thin, it's more like butter. Staff says they get many complaints, but that's how they're instructed. Sourdough bread was stale on the egg sandwich. Dark roast coffee caraff empty for 10 minutes finally someone saunters out after two requests. Then she ignores no 1/2 and 1/2. Next customer finds light roast and hazelnut empty. See ya next year... maybe.

Came in on Mothers Day for bagel egg sandwich’s at 11am and they had about 6 bagels left and were only doing lunch sandwiches so we just got bagels with cream cheese and it took forever to get and they only gave us cream cheese for 1 bagel. Staff were complaining about how tired they were while others were just on their phones playing games. When Panera first opened they had all the these beautiful bakery items and breakfast menu items - it was so disappointing.

I placed an order today for delivery & it never arrived. I called and asked that the order get sent out again and instead received a refund. I called again because this is NOT what I asked for and now, no one is answering the phone.
