Planthropie: Plant based Dessert & Cheese Bar

Recently shipped a gift package to my daughter and her husband in New Hampshire. The gift arrived packaged with care as scheduled from Michigan. My daughter, a devoted vegan and food critic called to tell us how impressed she was with the quality and more importantly the taste! She claims best they have found and the truffle cheese delectable! We will be ordering again and again in the future. The chef Rua is a MASTER ?

The dessert was great (even though it’s not cheese) it was truly was very similar that you can barely tell! It was also all gluten free which made it a big plus for me. Also the coffee was really good!

I only rated the atmosphere a 4 star because the paint and lighting made the place look like a hospital. Could use some more cozy tones!

Food was amazing, loved it so much!

I am usually a fan of plantrophie as vegan places like this one are hard to find !!
However, Wednesday of this week I placed a cheese box order for a dance banquet and my order went through. I got a notification of my charges and went on to go get the order. I got to the store and it was closed, I was confused as there wasn’t any notice of the store being closed and I needed a vegan shareable for my commitment. I tried calling and finally a few minutes after already being by the door waiting for an answer, my order gets refunded. Zero communication about it and I had to scratch a quick plan to come up with a vegan item for my dance team. This has never happened before with this store and it was very disappointing, I hope they find a way to better communicate situations of this nature.

This place has few alternatives for those with an allergy to peanuts and tree nuts. All of the desserts are made with cashew cream or a cashew-date crust, and while the drinks had oat milk as an alternative to cashew milk, the brand of oat milk they use left a taste of sunflower seeds in my mouth after a sip. The service, while friendly, was slow. Their prices are average for a Birmingham locale, so I wouldn't recommend it unless you like cashews.

This cheesery and dessert bar is adorable. It's nestled between larger storefronts in Birmingham, MI which is an upscale, cute area. They are 100% vegan, don't use refined sugar, mostly gluten free, and use ethically sourced ingredients. The cheeses and cheesecakes are made mostly from cashews. They have a lot of unique flavors so of course I had to get a flight. It's small portions but I didn't think it was too overpriced for what it is. My favorite part though were the cakes - so deliciously creamy and flavorful. I wish I lived closer and could get this more often, but it looks like they ship nationwide now! A great spot if you're looking for a classy date night

Absolutely love this vegan cheese shop near Detroit! They have incredible vegan desserts (especially the gluten free dessert which is my all time favorite). I highly recommend their delicious sweets and as a bonus… if you’re not from the area, they now ship vegan cheese and vegan dessert nationwide!
