I was really excited for the dish I ordered, the fried green tomato Benny, and it was even better than my highest expectation. The staff were wonderful and the place has a unique and interesting atmosphere. I'll definitely be returning here soon.

Interesting little place. The food was alright. The prices are very over the top. An omelet alone was $20 and a normal cup of coffee was $4.50. Considering the price, the portion sizes were on the small side.

Great vibe and good service but that's about it. Gratuity 20% is forcibly included. 10% gratuity on take out is beyond me. Food is quite mid and overpriced. Juice was claimed to be freshly squeezed but tastes store bought and tiny in portion. I'd come back for the vibe only.

We had nice Sunday breakfast there. We waited about 15–20 minutes for a table, but they text you when it’s ready so it’s easy to plan. Food and coffee were tasty. We chose to sit outside—it was shaded, not too noisy, and perfect for a relaxed morning.

I’ve been here couple times. The menu has a lot of interesting items.
But dirty silverware, coffee cups with lipstick stains killing me here. It’s disgusting. I can get the cozy, home like atmosphere here. But that shouldn’t mean serving with dirty dishes. It’s overpriced for such a table setting.
Service depends on who you got. No consistency. I usually try to catch the waitress to receive service, e.g a napkin or ordering something additional. I think I’m done with Toast and its mediocre, overpriced style.

The food is great and the service was excellent. The prices are moderate, so the value was good. Overall, it was a great experience.

Used to come here in the past. So we were visited with my wife on a date afternoon. Both of us ended up in the stomach ache after. Quite expensive, but it is Birmingham

Excellent food and service. The one in Ferndale is just as good.
The restaurant itself could use a good cleaning. The food is ok - too expensive for what it is. The service is alright kinda dismissive and didn’t really take care of our table.

I had buttermilk pancakes. They looked good but were underwhelming, especially given the $15 price. It came with two smallish ramekins of syrup, which was not enough. I had to hunt my server down to get more syrup and another beverage for my friend. This made it extra annoying when there was a mandatory 20% gratuity added to the bill.
The last time I went to toast was probably 10-15 years ago when the Ferndale location was new. My opinion hasn't really changed. Overpriced and overrated.
