The donuts are simply delicious and the honeycrisp apple cider is fabulous!! Most cider mills have so many add on extras, adding to the cost of a family trip. The only extra here is a guy playing instruments. So for budget friendly families, get your cider and donuts, head north on Franklin Road, stop off at Kirk in the Hills for some free lessons in beautiful architecture or keep going north on Franklin to Johnson Outdoor Park where you can hike around the lake seeing animals...
Great food great cider good prices. It's a small little mill but definitely worth it. I do like that it's not huge. Feeding the ducks with my wife while eating doughnuts and drinking cider great place for a date.
Franklin has been my family’s favorite cider mill for over 50 years and the nostalgia is real every time we go! I personally love that all the donuts are plain because you can really enjoy the crispy bits that way, but they do sell cinnamon sugar at the counter if you like them sugared.
