Owner/manager is extremely rude. He’s complained about other customers to me when he started using the kiosk, gets mad if you watch them make your order. Like the food, but he’s so negative it’s hard to keep going

I’ve been a loyal customer for years and I absolutely love this location and love the food. When the line changed to where you place order digitally it was a bit challenging because I personally like my bowl to be done a specific way and I wasn’t given those options via tablet. Despite that usually the employees are willing to let me follow them down the line so I can tell them how I like my order. Last week I visited kaku and I assume it was Kakus wife who was building my bowl and when I asked if I can follow her down the line, she was very rude about it and made my bowl with clear irritation. Despite me being a loyal customer and loving the food (because the food is always good and fresh) the customer service that day was honestly enough to put me off. The line change was already a big miss and I can understand certain logistical changes but when serving your customers please make sure you’re bringing comfort, patience, and willingness to be able to make their experience better.

We ordered a few party trays for our Senior All-Night Party and they were a huge hit! Everything was delicious and beautifully presented.

I’ve been coming here for years and wasn’t pleased to see the upcharges for ingredients like pineapple ($1 for canned pineapple) and seaweed salad and toppings like tempura crunch and crispy onions since these are included ingredients at any other poke place. They also only permit 3 ingredients in the base price, everything else is an upcharge. Last night I came in and discovered a new ordering system where you order on a computer and then it’s created without communication in front of you. I ordered three “you pick” bowls and it legitimately took 35 min when it used to be 10-15. I thought this would be a quick pick up. I had to correct the ingredients at least 7 times. I felt bad for the woman assembling these bowls as it’s the system that’s the problem, not her. She was also alone so would have to help other customers while in the middle of trying to read a ticket and assemble the bowls. I ended up spending $60 for three small poke bowls, no drinks or sides, just the bowls. The sauces are really delicious, but unfortunately there are other poke restaurants in the area where fruit and toppings are part of it and only extra protein and things like avocado are extra, which seems standard. I can’t see how Kaku will be able to survive with this model of pricing and expect the customer to wait this long for a meal that is meant to be a “quick pick up”.

Kiosks?? Are we serious this is not a fast food spot. I feel like everything is now extra besides corn and spinach. This is not the Kaku I know or grew up eating. I would happily pay an extra couple of dollars because it’s a small local owned business but the overall lack of care I feel is just too much. Please fix and go back to your 2018-2021 days before it’s too late.

Tiny portions, inflated prices, and zero customer care.. I understand that costs go up, and restaurants sometimes need to adjust prices—but charging $1 for mayonnaise (something that used to be free) and completely removing it as a regular topping is ridiculous. To make it worse, I was told to just take a different sauce instead.. how do you get to decide what I want to eat? Portions are also shockingly small for how expensive this place is. The owners clearly don’t care about the customer experience nor do they care about gaining/losing customers.. and if they keep going like this, they won’t be around much longer.

Absolutely incredible experience at Kaku Sushi! The quality of the food, the attention to detail, and the overall atmosphere exceeded all my expectations. Every dish was fresh, beautifully prepared, and packed with flavor. The staff was super friendly and made us feel genuinely welcomed from start to finish. You can tell they care about their craft and their customers. This is hands down my new favorite sushi spot — highly recommend to anyone looking for an authentic and unforgettable dining experience! Nothing left in the bowl!!

OMG! Couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the bad reviews, this is my Favorite to go place. Then I read them all and they are all from lazy customers who are pissed at the Kiosk service. Dude!! This place is PERFECT! THE FOOD IS SOOO GOOOD!!! I struggled to find takeout food since I had some food sensitivities and since almost 99% of restaurants and food places (even the nice ones and "organic") use crappy ingredients like corn starch or corn syrup, it took me a while. Then I found this one. Taste is AWESOME, food is FLAVORFUL, no ingredient has caused me any reaction so far so imagine how much good this food makes to your body. And people complain because of the Kiosk. Don't be ridiculous and use your brains a bit more, it will be less hard if you feed it with good nutritious food. Otherwise go to KFC where you belong and avoid hurting a business that is good in all senses.

Insted of talking to the guy working he just stands there and has you order through a computer or app. Then they wouldn't even take cash and encouraged going cashless. A lady was kind enough to use her card and I would give her the cash but them the computer wouldn't even take her card. Worst sushi experience and I didn't even get to complet an order

I was a regular here and loved it. Tablet system is ridiculous and so is charging for basic toppings. They pick up a meager amount of your three free veggies and an additional 60 cents for anything more. 4 thin cucumber slices… no thanks. Will be taking my business elsewhere.

I’ve been dining at and ordering pick up from Kaku since they were open. They’ve adjusted the price quite significantly and became quite “cheap” in the amount of ingredients you may include. Moreover, seems they are always short staffed and even the staff in both locations are rather inexperienced. The owner is admittedly good but he’s gotta do something to improve service and value to keep the customers.

My family and I have been loyal customers since they opened. The recent changes that have been made are terrible. The kiosk ordering system is not user friendly and left me frustrated. Unfortunately , I just walked out not buying my two bowls. What shame that this place will close down. The owner is a great chef but terrible business man. Adios.

They should listen to feedback and reverse the recent changes they made. Used to love it here but won’t be back
