⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Steve’s Deli – A Classic That Never Misses
This place has been around since 1995, and it’s easy to see why they’ve stood the test of time. Steve’s Deli serves up some of the best deli sandwiches and matzo ball soup around. Their breakfast is also fantastic — you really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.
My buddy and I came in on a Thursday and got their Thursday special: turkey, mashed potatoes with gravy, stuffing, and soup. OMG — it was so delicious. Huge portions, full of flavor, and very reasonably priced for the amount of food you get.
On top of the great food, the service here has always been top-notch. Every visit over the years, they’ve gone above and beyond. Never had a bad experience.
If you’re anywhere near Bloomfield Hills and craving comfort food or a classic deli meal, Steve’s Deli is absolutely worth the stop.
Dinged one star for the prices ($7 for a cup of chicken noodle soup is ridiculous). Otherwise, an outstanding deli.
Picked up an order on the way out of town. When we opened the order on the plane it was wrong and very poorly done. After nicely contacting the deli a manager said we would get a credit. When it didn't show we called and were given the run around. After nicely insisting on talking to the manager. Steve got on the phone he was EXTREMELY rude and sarcastic! Even making a remark about us not being his best customer. We ended up tossing out the sandwiches. Needless to say we will never go again.
Stopped by Steve’s Deli in Bloomfield Hills hoping for a solid Jewish deli experience. They have the usual staples—bagel and lox, whitefish salad, latkes, etc.—but unfortunately, the quality just isn’t there. The bagel and lox were passable, but the whitefish salad tasted like it had been sitting for a while. Produce accompanying the dishes was clearly a few days past its prime.
The worst offender was the potato latkes. The center was still frozen when served, and when they were reheated, it was in what tasted like very old, dirty oil—really unappetizing.
On the plus side, the prices are fair for the area, which makes it all the more disappointing that the freshness and preparation didn’t match the value. There’s potential here, but the quality control in the kitchen needs serious attention.

Amazing Delicatisan the vibe was great. A little wait. Because everybody was eating I didn't see any seats empty. Wow. The salad featured was awesome. The Manager J.C. was so pleasant he was greeting everyone. Hello family. Great attitude. Servers were fast even though super busy. See you soon Steve's Delicatisan..

I used to love this place, but the service has gone way downhill. I waited 30 minutes for a to-go order of soup, watching 8+ people get served before me. I had to go to the counter to remind them of my order. Then, I got talked back to once I told them I felt they could’ve done better. It’ll be my family's and my last visit for a long time.

Went to Steve's Deli and bought some carry-out. When I got home I put everything in the fridge for later (we eat kinda late). When my girlfriend was getting everything out to warm up for dinner she noticed there was more stuff on the bill than in the fridge. So she had me look at the bill. Upon looking at it I immediately noticed the prices were not what I was told and I was charged for an extra cabbage roll. I figured no big deal. I'll just go back the next day and let them know so they can refund me the difference. I went back and showed the receipt to the same girl who rang me up and showed her where she had charged me for an extra cabbage roll ($13) and charged me $27 for the dinner that should have only been $18 ($5 more than a single cabbage roll as quoted by her when originally ordering), I forgot to mention to her the knishes she charged me $8 instead of $7 as I was told. She acknowledged the mistake and apologized (the correct thing to do!), then said she would have her manager come over and take care of it. The manager came over and I explained it to him and he said no problem he would refund me the extra cabbage roll because I never received it. However, he would not refund the overcharge because it was only a mistake. I was kinda shocked by that and said well yeah. I totally understand it was not intentional. But it wasn't my mistake it was yours. Now I expect you to live up to your word and refund my money. He snickered a bit and said no. The girl who rang you up is only 15 years old. I'm sorry she gave you the wrong prices but I'm not giving a refund for that. At this point I was starting to get mad. I told him she is your employee, thus your responsibility. Not mine. I did not miss quote you! You miss quoted me and now I want my money back, I want you to make it right. If you don't I will call my credit card company, have the charges reversed for the entire bill, you will lose me as a customer, and I will go out and write a review to let everyone else know what you are doing. He then snickered again and said go ahead there is no law against this and I won't lose you as a customer either. At this point I was ready to come unglued at his ignorance and arrogance. I told him it absolutely is illegal and you damn well have lost a customer now give me the receipt I'll have the charges reversed (at this point I was not yelling but my voice was much more harsh than previously). Now all the customers were looking at us and he knew it. So he started rambling about me coming in here and banging on the counter and I cut him off and said what the hell are you talking about? I have done no such thing (and no, I really hadn't. So I'm not sure what he was talking about). No give me my receipt back! He then looked around and said I'll take care of you. I said fine, But I want the full $22 owed me (it should have been $24 but I had forgotten about the knishes). He mumbled something about $18 and I said no, do the math $22! So he typed some stuff in his register and told me to put my card in and said he'll give me $21.77. So I said fine. And put my card in to get what refund he was going to give me. At yhis point I really didn't care. I wanted to yank him over the counter and take it out of his hyde! Needless to say I will NEVER, EVER, go back! I don't care what that jerk thinks!! It's a shame too. Because the food there despite being on the pricey side is actually pretty good for the most part. But the arrogance and stupidity of the guy running the place just ruins it.
Long story short.... No I do not recommend this place for the reasons stated above. However, if you do go make sure you keep an eye on your bill. Don't let these assclowns take advantage of you the way they did me!!!!

Steve’s Deli is overall a good restaurant for lunch, but needs some improvements. It’s difficult to understand why they do not list their hours on their Google listing. The food prices are pretty steep, however the ambiance and service fail to match up. The tables on the hallway “mall” side were sticky and dated, sitting inside the restaurant I get to hear all the kitchen gossip for some reason.
