Szechuan Gourmet

One of my favorite Chinese restaurants in the area. Quick for pick up meals and friendly staff. Usually the chicken and rice are perfectly cooked, moist, and delicious. I've tried a few other dishes that have all been good too. Would definitely recommend.

Good luck getting through the restaurant that literally only does take out has one line and if they are on it …you get a recording that your call cannot be completed as dialed . I’ve never heard anything so ridiculous

Great atmosphere and service.

Small takeout place with great food! Meat is always tender and sauces are tasty. I love their udon noodles with chicken and sweet and sour chicken…..I get ss sauce on the side since there are always leftovers.

They can be a bit hard to catch on the phone sometimes but worth just heading in to order.

The best asian food in bloomfield hills in my opinion. They hook you up ?

I recently visited this restaurant, and it truly exceeded my expectations. The food is authentic, fresh, and healthy, which is so hard to find these days. Every dish reminded me of the flavors and warmth of home back in China. You can tell the ingredients are high quality, and the dishes are made with care and attention to detail. From the rich flavors to the comforting atmosphere, this place is an absolute gem. I can’t recommend it enough for anyone craving real, wholesome Chinese food. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Sale out too fast? Two Fridays in a row and nothing bc yall closed b4 5pm? Disappointed.

We had ordered take out of two items at Szechuan gourmet at 3951 telegraph road, Bloomfield Hills,Michigan.
Pepper steak 11.95 and and chicken dish with beans depicted in the menu as $11+.
While checking the credit card charge, it was $40. plus. (unfortunately i did not check the bill while pck up)

Shocked, i called the restaurant, and was told that the website price was not updated, additionl charge of $4.00 for extra broccoli, additional charge for credit card and increased price for each item ordered.
I told them, it is not fair and the pepper steak was awful with brown gooey stuff which we had to throw.But the person kept arguing.

Needeless to say that we were very disappointed that we had to pay $40 plus for two items of which half of it we had to throw

Got almond chicken, haven't lived in SE Michigan in about a decade and it was absolutely delicious pure nostalgia. Breading was a bit soggy on some pieces but still good.

Also +1 for chicken fried rice, and sweet and sour chicken. Will get again when I'm on town.

So I was looking for a new spot that served combo plates. You get an astronomical amount of food for the price compared to other spots that serve everything a la carte! I was also looking for egg rolls that weren’t skimpy and this place did not disappoint. My only criticism is that he just answered the phone “hello” at first and didn’t identify the business right away. Also the fried rice is plain and could use some green onions or veggies to give it more flavor.
