For the igloo dinner I was very sad that our reservation was 40 dollars and "This initial booking fee is non-refundable and does not go toward your food and beverage total" I think it is fine to be non-refundable but was caught off guard that it did not get applied to our food and beverage total. Will not be making a reservation again... and if there is a wait we will just not eat there.

Food is amazing, service is amazing. the only thing i would say is that they're a little pricey but expected for being part of boyne haha. also its a very tight space with a lot of people and the atmosphere is very loud and claustro phobic. but the food was worth it tbh and the service was great all the times we went there.

Visit d twice on our trip! The food is fantastic and the service is even better. I recommended the spicy margarita, the Buffalo dip, the artichoke dip, the grilled cheese and the good bbq Carolina sandwich - pulled pork, pickles, cranberry focaccia and gold bbq sauce . YUM! On a weekend day expect a wait but put your name in and they will text you. It's worth it

This place is good. And it's fun. The staff is awesome. The food is consistently great for Boyne. I mean, it's not really a 5 star, but it's all of a 4 overall. It's expensive, probably way too expensive really. But it's the best thing Boyne has for a bar. It's truly amazing Boyne hasn't completely screwed it up in true Boyne fashion. Don't order awesome coffees unless you're the only one in there.
I can’t say enough good things about this place! It can get pretty busy so keep in mind there might be a wait but the food and staff is absolutely worth it! They accommodating- we were able to snag some seats at the bar and honestly that’s the place to be! The manager who was also giving us our drinks was great! I highly recommend the white chicken chilli it will fill you up on its own! Flourless Molten chocolate cake was amazing as well! Wish I had this place in Chicago, I would be a regular ?

The food was great, although the other aspects of the restaurant were not. My group of four put our name in for the three hour wait, and skied in the meantime, only to get a text just 55 minutes later letting us know we had ten minutes to be at the table. We had no courtesy text letting us know that our wait time had changed, which would be expected as this restaurant serves a 300 acre ski resort. As we sat, the server promptly came over for drink service. We then didn't see the server for another 10 minutes. Eventually we ordered food and patiently waited for it to come, which understandably took some time since they were busy. My last takeaways from Forty Acres are that while there is good food, the service is unwelcoming and seeming lacking in the attention to detail, including missing silverware, no napkins at the table, and the server whom forgot to bring a drink back after taking it for a refill without communication. I was personally handed two waters when I only had one hand free which caused a little spill. I was definitely bummed when I experienced this kind of service when visiting and restaurant of this price range.
Good chicken sandwich and great beer selection. My son loved the wings. It was busy when we were there and they gave us 10-15 minutes to get back when our table was ready.

I would give this place a zero, staff is disrespectful and they don't listen. Our waiter kept trying to finish our sentences for us. Place was packed and it's loud and the staff and yelling at each other. We didn't get napkins or silverware until we ask about 30 minutes into our meal, even after we got food. They put little hidden fees and for a place so expensive they should up their service. We got plastic cups of water that they grabbed from a different table claiming "it's fresh that table didn't show" yet the said you could reserve a table? So that didn't make sense and everyone in the restaurant had a glass and not plastic. We did take out and they charged us almost 300$ and we didn't get half the food. Such a disappointment especially because there are only like 3 places to eat in the resort.

Hands down best resturant/ tavern. The food was absolutely amazing. Prices are not bad at all drinks are strong and taste amazing. Highly highly recommend. U can book in advance and go to the back forty that are heated igloos amazing
