“Just a little hidden gem two minutes from Boyne Mountain. Food is consistently great and they have a happy hour that can't be beat! Staff could be slightly more friendly, but I'm sure dealing with people in a bar all day hardens you a little. Highly recommend!”
“We had an awesome time here! Our bar tender Ryan was great. A lot of the employees were there after their shifts and they were so polite and amazing to chill with. We can't wait to go back! Thank you for a wonderful weekend guys!”
“I recently visited Boyne Mountain Resort and went to Stein for dinner as it was includded as part of our guided snowshoeing tour.overall, it was a pleasant experience. The service was attentive and the waitstaff was friendly and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was inviting, with beautiful Mountain View’s and skie views. The food options was buffet but not vegetarian or vegan friendly. the prices were a bit high, particularly for ok drinks. Secondly, some of the dishes lacked bold flavors and seasonings.Value - expensive for alcoholic drinksAmbiance - it’s great, you can actually hear your dateService - excellentTaste - okOverall - one and done”
“Best food at the resort, but maybe the worst atmosphere? They crammed too many tables into the building and play the music way too loud (I swear I'm not that old) 100% will go back,”
“I'm surprised this place only has 2 reviews since it's right at the bottom of the mountain. This place is great for a quick bite to eat or to grab a drink between ski runs, or even if you're staying nearby and are craving a sandwich. They have a cooler with jerky, hummus, plenty of other snacks, and a selection of cold beers as well. I got the vegetarian wrap and it was SO tasty. Avocado, carrots, cucumbers, and more. It was very light and fresh tasting without making me feel too full. It was about $9-$10 which is perhaps a little more expensive than I would have expected, but not unreasonable. They also had a chowder for their soup of the day which looked good, but we were on the move and wanted something more portable (hence the wrap). If you want to sit and eat, there are a couple of little tables that you can sit/stand at to eat, or you can eat outside on one of the benches / chairs that are out on the main stretch of storefronts. Not really meant to be a dine in place, but they've made the best of the space!”
“The cashier was patient and helpful with me and my coffee order, I’m not from the area and it’s been a early morning so the tea packets she threw in were a plus thank you again ?”
“Trophy Room is almost always our first meal when we visit Boyne. We've tried other pizza spots but keep coming back. Although there is seating inside it's typically packed during ski season so we place a to go order and head up to the Snowflake lounge, grab a drink and wait. We always order the cheese bread (so good) and a greek salad. The salad is full of toppings and easily big enough to share. For pizza we mix it up, but my personal favorite is the Superbowl. The food is expensive, but for the location and taste, it's worth it!”
“Great restaurant with nice view of the lake. I had the Lake Perch entree for dinner and it was delicious. Also had the Cannoli for dessert and it was the best I've ever had. Service was good, and would eat there again on our next vacation.”
“This is expensive, don't get me wrong, but this is one of the best restaurant experiences I have had. We get the special when we go, and it was all you can eat prime rib. Cooked to perfection.”
“We had an amazing night all thanks to our fantastic waitress Robin. We just popped in for a quick $5 pizza on Tuesday. And we were surprised by live music, a great ambience and a short wait for our table. Our waitress made us feel right at home, which is always nice when you are on vacation. She even treated us to a complimentary cheesecake. This place is a gem and not to be missed when in Boyne City!”
“Immediately greeted with warm smiles and great attitudes! Service was amazing and fast, the food is by far some of the best in the area! Everything seasoned well and very delicious!”
“Wow! Walloon Lake Inn is outstanding! Everything about this place is amazing! The food is incredible and they definitely pay attention to every detail making for a great experience! Will definitely be back!”
“I thank this place for being in my life. The croissant dough is perfection. The pan au chocolate uses a delicious High quality chocolate. They make a sweetened laminated dough treat, which I cannot remember it's name. (Auirgny? ).. it is AMAZING!!!. The owners are so kind. Try this place!!!! Going back tomorrow for buckwheat crepes!!!!”
“Wonderful, warm little coffee shop. So many choices to choose from even for the pickiest of coffee snobs. Adorable play area for kids. They are connected to a small art studio / store and also sell cute trinkets and gifts for your favorite furry friends.”
“Service was quick and friendly. Food was great! Clean, inviting place. I particularly like the seating, very comfortable. They have the tables spaced out nicely and not all crammed together. Good beer selection. Keno! We were just passing through but I would definitely stop here again.”
“Wow! What a great little market. Had an exceptional experience today. They went out of their way to hand cut some killer ribeye steaks for me. Walking through the store it's obvious they know good product's, from their canned tomatoes to crazy good peanuts. I also had one of the best sandwiches ever! This is one cool market!”
“Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the area, and showed me what was good on the menu, a trait that I wish every restaurant did. They have this pretzel that is big enough for 2 people to share, I'm talking about a foot wide pretzel. Fluffy and so good with the house chili. I personally got a reuben that was big and delicious. You could tell the food is fresh. Great prices as well. They have some "rare" drinks at the bar that would make the whiskey snob's mouth water. Overall a great place to stop by and ask the locals about good stuff in the area to do.”
“A hidden gem! This small town coffee shop offers a cozy ambiance that instantly makes you feel at home. The staff here are incredibly friendly and welcoming, adding a personal touch to your visit. And the coffee? Absolutely delicious! It's a perfect spot to unwind, savor great coffee, and enjoy the warmth of this charming place.”
“Best place in Boyne! Great food, great beer and staff are amazing, friendly and very knowledgeable. We couldn't have been any happier with our experience at Stiggs!”
“Came in to meet for a snowmobiling rental via Boyne Recreational Rentals! Great little spot off the road to get a bite to eat and warm up! Very clean and friendly!”
“Absolutely a delightful evening celebrating a family birthday. Food was delicious and service was top notch. We started with the roasted garlic appetizer which I recommend. One of our party had the walleye, which the restaurant is known for, and another had shrimp scampi and the third ordered the seafood pasta. All were excellent.”
“The lady that was making the subs was kinda rude if you didn't understand stand what she said and you asked her, "What did you say?" Which we had to ask several times about different things. Besides her "rudeness" she did seem to be nice lol, some people need to speak up or not so fast so you don't have to keep asking " what you say?"”
“It was ok. Wouldn't being a hurry to go back. Service was great- portions great. Just different vibe in dining area- never know who you'll be sitting next to- not the establishments fault.”
“Walked in the original bc pizza in boyne city ..the one on the lake..and the guy behind the counter was so nice and friendly..he made a perfect pie..begging for the one in Bellaire to open so I don't have to drive to far but....you know..in ”
“Drip coffee is a treat to me, especially when most vacation stops only serve espresso. A friend got the last of a pot, so I got the first of the next and thoroughly enjoyed the fresh! The cafe room is nice, but hard to imagine staying inside when the mid-October weather was so good by the lake...”
“Pizza was excellent but service was slow and they got our order slightly wrong, added onions when none were requested. Not that big of a deal and the delicious pizza made up for ”
“We stopped after a long walk in the woods on a snowy March afternoon. Fortunately for us, there was a table right next to the fire! My wife and I shared half a grilled salad and the ribeye. We warmed up with a glass of the house red wine and Keweenaw Widow Maker. The ribeye was cooked perfectly, and the service was great.”
“Great workers, great food, great music. I litterally skip other subways to cone to this one each and every time.Parking: There is some parking in the fornt down the main road and if you turn into stigs and go feather in theres some more parking there.”
“Always a good breakfast at Betty's. Great place to go before a day of skiing. You need snow for that, and it's on its way.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian omlette was filling.”
