“I have been going up to Vanderbilt for over 50+ years. Started hunting up there at 13 with my parents and for going on 14 years camping with my kids but mostly my oldest son. Every year we have a tradition of eating breakfast at least once per camping trip at Mill Street Diner. The amazing thing to my son and I is for only coming in once or twice a year both Doug and Sherry Remember us when we walk in. Their hospitality is such they treat us as if we are family. Last summer we brought my grand kids with and they were so kind and helped the kids choose something from the menu that they might like. We each placed our order and of course I had to upgrade to get Doug's fries. Mill Street Diner has fresh food that tastes like homemade and I can't recommend this restaurant enough, the food is very good and Doug and Sherry are wonderful people. If your ever in the area stop into Vanderbilt's own Mill Street Diner trust me you will not be disappointed.”

“The service was fast and lovely, and the food was great! Highlights: rodeo burger and onion petals. The fish and patty melt were also good. Our group wasn’t a fan of the coleslaw (lots of raw onion) personally, and the fries were definitely good, but also definitely paled in comparison to the onion petals.”

“My husband and I had a wonderful experience at The Farmers Table yesterday. The cozy atmosphere and true farm‑to‑table cooking make every meal taste like real home‑cooked comfort. They use locally sourced meats and farm‑fresh ingredients, and you can truly taste the quality. Our waitress, Alissa, was fantastic — friendly, patient, and she even took my food allergies seriously, offering thoughtful solutions so I could enjoy my meal safely. She also answered all my questions about the Serendipity Farms products they sell. My eyes were being wacky and Alissa even READ the ingredients for me. That’s Northern Michigan charm in action! “Pine Squirrel was recommended to use by the Business Manager at Jim Weirnig. It did not disappoint. My pizza was cheesy and delicious. My husband had a specialty Sloppy Burger that he enjoyed. You have choice of chips or potato salad and he chose the potato salad and said it was very good. The service was amazing and it did not take long to get our food. We give this a 10 out of 10 ranking and highly recommend it.”

“Its definitely worth the hour drive to have the fantastic subs they make I also appreciate the fact that they cut your sandwich into four individual pieces. The employees are friendly and quick in doing there jobs I give them a score of ten for all services.”

“We traveled through Gaylord last Saturday Sept 24 with our BIG family and stopped in for lunch. I wanted to say that the 3 employee's working that day made our first visit to Five Guys very welcoming. They were so pleasant even tho we had alot of people to order at one time. Our food came out soooo quick and it was very good. Even tho it was very expensive it was amazing . The best part our girls are STILL talking about how good the burgers were!!!!!! My youngest says it's her favorite place to eat now. Wish we had one closer! Keep up the great work Gaylord location! We will be back when passing again!!”

“Nowicki’s sausages are a family favorite. We place orders to be shipped to California about once per year, unless I make a trip to Michigan, then i load up my suitcase up for the trip back. My favorite is Jalapeño Cheddar, my wife’s is BBQ honey, and my brother’s appears to be the Polish.”

“This is a sweet hidden treasure right here in Gaylord. They offered many selections of icecream. We were having a hard time getting my grandson to pick a flavor and they were quick to offer him a tiny taste to help him decide. The service was quick, the place was clean and pricing great.”

I, on a whim, ordered the mushroom soup. Their mushroom soup was THE BEST soup I've ever had. It was so good that we will be making the 4 hour trip to eat it again next week.”

“My husband and I had a mid-afternoon meal at Crave today, it was our first time there and we were very pleased. The food was exceptionally good, our server took great care of us and we loved the warm atmosphere. I don't do a lot of reviews, but this place definitely deserves one! I highly recommend the Panino Al Manzo (beef brisket) and Casa del Amore salad. Both so flavorful! We will be back!”
