Our favorite stop for breakfast, lunch and dinner when we are in town. The bar is amazing too!
We had an amazing night all thanks to our fantastic waitress Robin. We just popped in for a quick $5 pizza on Tuesday. And we were surprised by live music, a great ambience and a short wait for our table. Our waitress made us feel right at home, which is always nice when you are on vacation. She even treated us to a complimentary cheesecake. This place is a gem and not to be missed when in Boyne City!
This place is a must visit if you are in Boyne city Michigan! We have been several times and everything we have had has been delicious. The duck French onion Soup and the escargot are a perfect way to start your dining experience, especially when you use the warm fresh bread as a vessel for the broth and buttery garlic escargot base. Cafe Santé | French offers a timeless and welcoming atmosphere with antique wall photos and a large bar. The food is wonderful, with highlights including pistachio butter pancakes with local Michigan syrup, a fish sandwich with house made mayo, and a perfectly made latte. The pork ribeye is a go-to, served with an excellent mustard sauce. The Vienna pancakes are better than any pancake, even in Paris, and the zucchini involtini is also good. A croque madame is available even if not on the menu. The Champignon pizza has great flavor, though it could use some pizazz, and the chicken Marsala is a solid choice. There is a wonderful selection of both European and local brews on tap, plus a solid wine list. Service is impeccable and staff are pleasant and friendly, though it can be a little slow with drink refills. It gets very busy in summertime with minimal wait times. Portions are not huge, but it is a good meal and a perfect place to relax and enjoy a conversation.
