A normally highlight of our trips to the north, breakfast was below par this morning. I had the Eggs and Sausage plate, my wife the Americano. My over medium eggs were overcooked, crusty around the edge. (my wife's over medium looked great) Both my patty and link sausages were also overcooked and dry. The American fry potatoes for both my wife & I looked great, but turned out to be stone cold. Had they been precooked, but forgot to warm up? A disappointment. Then, waiter...
I got the chicken marsala. It was probably the most tender chicken breast I've ever had, and the sauce was fantastic! The escargot appetizer was delicious, and my husband got the shrimp pizza, which was also great!
This place is a must visit if you are in Boyne city Michigan! We have been several times and everything we have had has been delicious. The duck French onion Soup and the escargot are a perfect way to start your dining experience, especially when you use the warm fresh bread as a vessel for the broth and buttery garlic escargot base.
