Wonderful waitstaff, friendly, attentive and funny. The food very mediocre. I had a Monte Cristo sandwich which is usually my favorite, but this one was not a true Monte Cristo. The bread was not like French toast and the bottom slice was actually soggy.
The rooms are a bit small and the bathroom is tiny. Toilet sear was very old and dirty
I was quite a bit disappointed in our food. The kids salmon & hamburger was overcooked. Generally everything our large party ordered (food & drinks) was so-so. We were expecting quite a different experience from one of the sit-down restaurants offered at Boyne. In talking with others afterwards, they had a similar rating.

Stein Eriksen's is a popular spot for large groups and families, offering fondue experiences and excellent food. The staff and manager are accommodating and attentive, providing excellent service. The atmosphere is inviting, with beautiful mountain views and ski vistas visible through large windows. The Alpine-inspired decor complements the setting perfectly. The restaurant is conveniently located with walkable access to nearby amenities, including a large heated outdoor pool and hot tub with views of the hills and slopes. The menu features delicious options that fit the alpine theme, and the service is consistently friendly and knowledgeable, with servers like Mark and Tim making the experience memorable. While the rooms are a little dated, the location and amenities make it a great place to relax after a day of skiing or outdoor fun. Some dishes may lack bold flavors and seasonings, and prices can be high, especially for drinks. Nonetheless, the overall dining experience is pleasant, with attentive waitstaff and a great ambiance that keeps guests coming back.
