We absolutely love dining at Stein Eriksons while at Boyne Mountain. The staff and manager are so accommodating. The food is excellent!!it's great for large groups and for kids. I highly recommend the fondue experiences.

Literally sickening. Everything was made wrong and even when it came out after being remade, we were too grossed out to continue to even eat it. We left hungry. Waited 2 hours for our food. Save your time and money and go somewhere else.

When the dining room is nearly empty, no one should have to wait 45 minutes for their dinner to be served— but certainly if someone waited that long, which we did, the meal should be served hot. Ours was not. Four of us had the short ribs. Even the mashed potatoes were cold. It takes a long time for mashed potatoes to get cold.

This restaurant is closed despite the fact we were able to make reservations and the brochure from the resort listed live music there that night. The staff there at the bar were nice and redirected us to another restaurant.

I recently visited Boyne Mountain Resort and went to Stein for dinner as it was includded as part of our guided snowshoeing tour.overall, it was a pleasant experience. The service was attentive and the waitstaff was friendly and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was inviting, with beautiful Mountain View’s and skie views. The food options was buffet but not vegetarian or vegan friendly. the prices were a bit high, particularly for ok drinks. Secondly, some of the dishes lacked bold flavors and seasonings.Value - expensive for alcoholic drinksAmbiance - it’s great, you can actually hear your dateService - excellentTaste - okOverall - one and done

Great food, great view and great service! The restaurant overlooks the slopes! Most people including us had the fondue ( they have upgraded options too) , they also had a prime rib buffet that looked good! We also split the Pork schnitzel Milanese .. garlicky and good! Cute Austrian atmosphere.. no wait in a busy Saturday lots of seating!

Service was poor. Our waiter had 6 tables to service at the same time with nearly no help. The Reuben sandwich was terrible. Full of gristle and very fatty. Wine ordered was forgotten and never served. Love Boyne but would skip Steins next time.

We loved our night at Stein Eriksens. The gist Bavarian pretzel and cheese fondue we delicious. We enjoyed live music while we dined, and loved looking out to the slopes. The kids menu was also a pleasant surprise. My kids loved the salmon and onion rings. Great value for the experience!

To begin with the management was atrocious, we began our evening waiting in a line that wasn’t being help whatsoever, the servers didn’t communicate if we’re on a wait list or in line for a table, this went on for easily 25-30 minutes. Being in the restaurant business myself I understand the restaurant to customer relationship, and there was an absolute lack of it. To add upon our waiting experience we had a leaky ceiling above us in the lobby. Once we were finally seated our server was very tolerant with the poor management and was very nice. Although it did take quite awhile for us to be greeted by the server although I’ll give the servers the benefit of the doubt it was Christmas week and it was busy but there were still open tables in the dining room. Once the server helped us we ordered our drinks and food with an appetizer all at the same time to avoid waiting even longer. Our appetizer took 45 minutes to arrive and once it did we’re probably a hour and fifteen into our night. Our food probably arrived 15-20 minutes after our appetizer, the food was just okay, most of it wasn’t very good, the fish was though. We attempted to speak with the manager more than once but as I said before the management wasn’t good at all, when we were able to speak with him , he proceeded to ask us “do you run a restaurant?” Which I felt was inappropriate. Overall our server was very nice and agreed with our statements about the poor management, but even when we spoke with the manager he proceeded to do nothing about our poor experience.

Amazing!! Best walleye and jaeger schnitzel in the US! I used to drive hours for these specialties but can now ski and dine, and ski in right from the slopes. I also love the lobster rolls, crab bisque chowder, huge roasted Bavarian Pretzel with beer cheese,

Our server, Brent, was exceptional & the fish 'n chips were excellent. It's a little pricey, typical for a resort. Claret was mediocre for the price.
