“Can’t say enough great things. Great beer, great food. The outdoor seating was outstanding for a large group. And management supports animal welfare! Don’t leave your dogs in the car! Management was quick to identify patrons and address the issue of dogs in the car on a hot day. The place is dog friendly, so it made zero sense for dogs to be left in the car. The response was very much appreciated.”

“We were in the area for our Anniversary and based on previous reviews we had to try the pizza. It is Take-Out only, but they had outdoor seating available along the sidewalk which we enjoyed on the cool, breezy evening. We even enjoyed the crust that was a good balance between soft and crispy. We definitely recommend this place when you're looking for some mighty fine pizza.”

“What a great experience - Friday night we had a big group of runners that really wanted ice cream. Kilwins was closed, but they saw our group and let us in! The girl that waited on us was awesome and patient. Very thankful! We are from Ohio and really enjoyed the ice cream. Highly recommend. They could have turned us away, but they didn’t and that is rare now a days. Next time we are in VA Beach we will definitely come back.”

“My husband Jeff and I stopped in today for the first time since we moved to Petoskey. The hot chocolate and turtle cheesecake were the BEST we have ever had. The atmosphere was welcoming and everyone is super friendly. Looking forward to trying more great menu items.”

“Murdick's has the best homemade ice cream. Once you taste it you will not want any other kind. You suddenly become an "ice cream snob". It is so creamy and delicious. Their homemade popcorn, fudge and candies are so good as well. We stop in every time we are in Petoskey.”

“Been living in Northern Michigan for over 10 years and never knew about Crooked Tree Breadworks until now. This artisan bakery has amazing breads and pastries. The Epi Baguette is fantastic, as is the classic sourdough bread. Tried the orange currant scone and it was delicious. The holiday stollen was reduced to six dollars. There were boxes leftover from Christmas so I bought one. Honestly, the stollen was too old and stale to have been sold to customers. Even though I warmed and toasted the stollen, it was still tasteless. So glad I came here twice because they do have outstanding artisan baked goods but prices are somewhat steep which is expected in an affluent place like Petoskey.”

“Joe and crew made us feel welcomed. drinks were quickly served as we waited for a table, then decided to stay at the bar. between 630 and 7, there was 20 minute wait for a table. it took probably 20 minutes to get appetizers, but the rings and skins were worth the wait! we didn't feel rushed and enjoyed the food and chat with fellow bar guests. shout out to all for blessing me with hot banana peppers for my corona!!!!!! the cod and fries special was on point!!! worth mentioning, the hot sauce selection!! thanks Southwoods for a great meal!!”

“I would like to say that I like the wendy's summer strawberry salad but Petoskey,Michigan today wasn't a good day. I got my salad but wasn't given any almonds & I was given a spicy southwestern dressing that doesn't go with this salad. I was starving so I ate it anyway,I think Jennifer needs to double check the orders before she hands them out the window. Not the first time either :(”

“Our first experience was 7/11 and we lost our diaper bag we searched all over and day for it unfortunately we had to return back home which was south Michigan and they found it and was so kind to mail it back to us! I can’t wait to come back again and visit this establishment again. ☺️”

The person behind the counter who handed us our food took the time to show us the meals and make sure they were up to expectations and was very kind. I think I will pay more in person too being that it is so much cheaper to pay in cash than online.”

“Super nice guy took our order and made our pizza move and quick! Had the 4 corners Detroit with choose-your-own-toppings (they've got thin crust, cauliflower and gluten free crust as well). Cheesy crust was perfect, the dough cooked all the way through, and the sauce and cheese were delicious. This is definitely an order-for-take-out place, not a place to dine in. Will definitely return for more pizza.”

“We stopped there Oct. 24 at around 7pm for dinner just as they were closing for shortage of help but they served us anyways. Our server was Warren and the cook staff stayed to make sure everything was good. He had already worked a 12 hr. shift and was very friendly. we really appreciated it. thanks warren.”
